Vehicle Detail
This 1970 Midget would be a good project car. It is complete as you can see. It will need some restoration but this car runs and runs good. VEHICLE CONDITION BODY: The car was originally a yellow gold color but repainted red many years ago. Rust consists of floor pans and some starting in the rear quarter panel behind the rear tire. Rockers seem fairly solid. There is some previous body filler that has cracked on the bonnet. All of this is shown in the photos. I don't believe that the car has ever been wrecked. INTERIOR & TOP: It is all here. Seats could be used with some covers over them. Still original carpet and needs to be replaced. Crack in dash top as usual. The convertible top needs to be replaced. The frame is broken but I have a good one you can have with the car. MECHANICAL: The car was last licensed in 1990, 20 years ago. I put a battery in it and got it running off of an auxillary fuel source. The oil pressure needle jumped up to 60 psi and stuck there. Compression was 120 to 125 on all four cylinders. No smoke or funny noises from the engine. I did not drive the car as it has no brake or clutch hydraulics. The speedometer is broken, stuck at 50. Tires are old but match. PLEASE READ THESE AUCTION TERMS PRIOR TO BIDDING By placing a bid on this car, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below. I have done my best to describe the condition of this car to you. If you have any questions regarding the condition, payment, your bid, etc. please email me through the ebay "ask seller a question" link above. Or you can simply call me at 816-520-2433 from 8 AM to 8 PM central time, any day. Payment: I require a $250 non-refundable deposit via paypal within 48 hours of the auction end. The remainder of the balance is due within 7 days of the auction end and is payable in the form of a cashiers check, USPS money order, or cash in person when the car is picked up (provided the car is picked up within the 7 day time frame from auction end). If you are picking up the car in person, cash in person is the required form of payment. Shipping: This is your responsibility. I will help with the loading of the car. Please bring your own ramps for your trailer, tie downs, winch, etc. as none will be provided. If you are arranging shipping with a transport company, please be sure to tell them that all pickup arrangements must be made 24 hours in advance and the car must be picked up before 7 PM. I live on a winding country road and I don't want any loading on it after dark. Pickup of car: This must be done within 15 days of the auction end, unless prior arrangements have been made and I agree to them. Failure to pick up the car within this time frame will result in storage fees of $20 per day that must be paid before the car is released.
