I never planned to sell this car, it was a built to enjoy, take the kids to baseball, fishing and just enjoy the sun…. But we just inherited a 65 convertible with the understanding that it would never be sold, but handed down to future generations…. So I will be starting over, while someone enjoys the fruits of the labor that went into this one… So here we go….. Up for sale is a 1968 Mustang Convertible. It is equipped with a 302 and automatic transmission and has a clean Texas title, actual mileage is unknown I purchased the convertible a couple of years ago…. At the time it had not been registered for a number of years while the current owner had a dream of one day doing a 68 Shelby tribute car… over the years his dream faded and I purchased the vehicle. At that time the vehicle needed a complete restoration…. The vehicle had originally started life as a 6cyl and at some point someone had swapped out the 6 cyl for a V8. The nice part is they had located a 1968 date coded 302 and automatic transmission. The car has had the 4 lug front hubs and the 4 lug rear diff swapped out for the correct 5 lug rear differential and the 5 lug hubs up front with the v8 brakes. So unless you look up the original build information, the average person would think it’s an original V8 car….. In 2007 the vehicle underwent a complete restoration…..the following was done…. Then she was topped off with a fresh coat of base coat clear coat in bright yellow….
