Vehicle Detail
I am relisting this car for my neighbor. The reserve has been lowered. I have inspected it inside, outside, and underneath, and stand by my listing description. All questions will be answered, personal or 3rd party inspection is welcomed. I have lots more photos, including underneath that I can send. I can also take specific photos. This Mustang starts, runs and drives like it should. No strange noises, smoke, vibrations or other suprises. Travels down the highway smoothly, yet firmly at 60 mph. The 289 V-8 runs smooth and strong, with its 2 barrel giving better fuel economy. The 3 speed automatic transmission shifts as it should. The dual exhaust is not overly loud. All features and options operate as they should with two exceptions, the back up lights do not wprf, and the parking brake has not been pulled, may be fine or not. This Mustang is NOT a rotted car. It was originally a South Carolina car before coming to Ohio. Has not been driven in Ohio winters. The only exterior rust spot is a couple of small bubbles on 1 door that have been there for at least the last 10 years. Otherwise the outer body is rust free. The under carriage is original with NO patches. A very clean car. Has had an average repaint previous to my neighbor buying it in 1999. The paint still has lots of shine, with only a few brush touched nicks, and a few small spots where the paint has been polished thin. The chrome and bright work are beautiful, with no pitting and a good shine. The overall appearance is very good. Not a show car, but a for sure head turner. The pony Interior is in very good shape. There is a seam split, and a 4 inch scrape on the drivers seat. The headliner has 2 punctures approx. 3 inches long, otherwise very nice. With the exception of the above mentioned flaws, the Pony interior is in good to very good original condition. Recent work: In the past 2-3 years the following has been replaced. Windshield Alternator Cap, wires, plugs, points, and condensor Battery New fuel tank Floor and trunk mats All 4 tires and wheels (the 4 original wheels go with the car) All 4 drums, shoes, and wheel cylinders Converted to dual master cylinder with power brakes After market Pony am/fm cassete with speakers Ready to drive with no known issues. The odometer reads 21,630. The title reads 130,000. The previous owner guessed the mileage when title was transferred. We believe the true mileage to be 121,630 as the car has only been driven about 1600 miles since 1999. ( the only reason it is for sale is she does not drive it more than about 3 times per summer ) The title will be transferred as 21,630, exceeds mechanical limitations. All in all, this Stang is a good, driver plus quality, adult driven piece of history. As long as you don't expect a perfect show quality car, you will not be dissappointed. Vehicle has been described to the best of my ability, will be sold as-is. The winning bidder will be required to submit a $500.00 deposit within 72 hours of auction end. Balance due within 7 days. Cash in hand works, all checks will clear the bank before car is released. As long as car is paid in full, it can be stored indoors for a reasonable time, at no charge until picked up or shipped. Shipping cost to be paid by buyer. I will assist with shipping any way possible. The reserve is very reasonable, and it WILL sell on E-Bay once the reserve is met! Thank you for viewing my auction, and HAPPY BIDDING!.
