Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1969 Mercury Grand Marquis that belonged to my grandfather and was also my first car. When I graduated high school in 2002 I put the car in storage with hopes to restore it someday...but I simply do not have the means to do so. I took it out of storage last summer and did everything I needed to do to get her running good... New battery, brakes, fan clutch, radiator, starter, coil springs, alternator, and obviously transmission fluid and oil change, spark plugs, wires points, etc. I also ran dual exhaust with flowmaster 40 series mufflers. So the cars running great!! It fires right up and will run smooth all over town.... Now for the problems...there is rust at the bottom of the doors and wheel wells on the rear quarter panels. You can't see from the pictures, but it's there, mostly behind all of the trim. And although the paint looks good in these pictures, believe me, the car needs a paint job!! I simply don't have the money to finish this car right and I also don't have the storage....it takes up A LOT OF SPACE in the garage. What I came to realize while trying to restore this vehicle was that it is almost certain that it will have to become a lowrider. It's a very rare car, and although the interior is in good shape (pics available upon request), it is missing some trim parts, and it is really hard to find 1969 Mercury Marquis replacement parts for the body and for the interior... Everything is original on the car except for a cd player and new speakers I installed. This car has the 1969 Ford 429 360HP 4v-V8 and it will run all day and night!! NADA Low Avg. = $2,340 Avg. = $4,453 High Avg. = 6,403 I would have to consider this car Low Avg. based on the current condition. If you have any questions or would like other pictures, just let me know.
