Vehicle Detail

Offered here is a rare and remarkable original and well kept 1972 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY 9 passenger station wagon..These were the largest production station wagons ever made anywhere and had the largest big block 440ci engine ever offered in a station wagon. (After '72 hp decreased because of added polution devices)..Odometer reads 19,864 but it is unknown if this 119864 or not..The condition looks like much less than the latter ,but the car was apparently used by individuals that were careful and maintained the vehicle over the years..The car has been repainted at some point, but I dont find any bondo anywhere, and there is NO rust at all!..NO rust found in the floor in the fenders ,rockers, or door bottoms..The interior is in EXCELLENT shape and totally original..Perfect Headlining ( reflections not marks in one picture),perfect door panels, perfect glass, seats look better than pictures indicate.,.EVERYTHING works: including the Air conditioning, power windows, seats,radio,directionals,lights,wipers,,etc..The antenna and one door lock stick occasionally..The dash and the steering wheel have cracks (only one on dash as seen). Engine and transmission are excellent: starts easily, idles w/o incident, has great power and there is no smoke. Trans shifts perfectly, every time.. Brakes are perfect( to my estimation),steering is correct and straight, and there are no front end noises or wear issues..Tires are very good and the exhaust system has been checked..Runs cool, and there are no leaks under the car.. This car comes with just about every option that Chrysler offered for 1972: -9 passenger. -Air cond. -Roof rack -Optional turbine hubcaps -Two way rear door(gate)w/power window. -Adjustable steering column, -Rare Rim Blow horn -Turn indicators on fenders, -Full power options including windows and seats. -FM radio, And the EXTREMELY RARE Recording CASSETTE PLAYER with microphone ! The car comes with the original owners manual and all the tire tools. It is in beautiful condition getting lots of attention on the road and an extremely reliable and useful "classic". It has been repainted before I got it at some pointand is still free of stone bruse or scratches.. I got it from a private owner in Montana who never used it in bad weather..For a car that almost 40 years old it looks truely great ,but it is not perfect nor near mint and I am trying to describe it accurately without making it sound any better than it actually is, SO please ask any and all questions before you bid, or come and inspect it yourself or send an agent to examine it. PLEASE NO TIRE KICKERS or bidding with out the funds already available to pay when the auction ends.. I will not reveal the reserve and do reserve the right to end the auction because of other advertising..I am selling this great car because I need funds to complete the restoration of my other pre war cars and lack of storage space..This car is truly the muscle car of American wagons and it can really move if and when you want to! ..Rides quietly and comfortably. It eats up the bumps along the way.... The car is sold as is.. where is, with no representation other than as described (which I have done to the best of my knowledge) and there is no warranty expressed or implied..Buyer must make all arrangements for transport( although I see no reason why it cant be driven to California today w/o a problem).I will assist overseas buyers with loading etc.All transport arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and the car must be picked up within 3 weeks max of the auction's end. There will be No storage options offered by me! Payment: Paypal deposit of $500 within 24 hours of the auction. The full balance within 7 days,or it will be immediately sold again. Again please do not bid if you do not accept all the conditions of sale (your bid is acceptance of the conditions of sale) or do not intend or cannot pay full price bid. Please REMEMBER that ALL inspection must be made before the end of the auction and NOT afterward or by buyer or the transporter, etc, and no re- negotiating permitted! The car is currently located and can be seen at my home in BELLE HARBOR, NEW YORK 11694 by appointment. eduard@mindspring.com On Apr-24-10 at 09:58:35 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL: -The car does have cruse control. -Recent oil change and lube. All hoses and belts, and front joints checked. -Some brake work done. -"Rim Blow" horn works but only at one spot. -Rides without any rattles or jiggles. -Wood grain not identical on each side. -Last owner misplaced the carpet for the rear well. Told that same carpet is available. On Apr-28-10 at 10:40:51 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL: Just lowered my reserve! On Apr-28-10 at 10:48:55 PDT, seller added the following information: The last picture was taken in Montana last year. On Apr-28-10 at 17:53:09 PDT, seller added the following information: I must sell my 2 Town and Country cars so I've substantially reduced the reserve on this wagon to what you would expect to pay for one like the few that were offered within the last year on ebay that needed almost everything ! This is really the last of the big Muscle Wagons. Its great transportation and it certainly makes a statement about who you are.
