For sale here is a very original 1970 Mercedes Benz 280SE Sedan. It is owned by an estate of the original owner, who bought it new in Colorado. The car is exceptional in cosmetic condition. Mechanically it has an issue. There is antifreeze in the oil shown on the dipstick by a tan color. The car has been started briefly. The opinion is either a cracked block (worst case),cracked cylinder head or a blown cylinder head gasket. Please feel free to inspect the car prior to bidding and ask questions prior to bidding. The mechanical condition is unfortunate, because the car is otherwise very nice and rust free. It was in an accident years ago and repainted a putty tan color (not original) to a very good standard. The chrome is excellent and the interior is amazing. The wood on the leading edge by the dashboard/windshield is sunburned and would need refinishing. Otherwise the interior is 8-10. I am listing the vehicle for the personal representatives of the estate. It is offered as is, where is with no warranties expressed or implied. The vehicle is located 40 miles west of Denver in the mountains. The transportation of the vehicle is the responsibility of the sucessful bidder. Assume that the car will need to be trailered.
