Vehicle Detail
1931 BUICK SEDAN 4 DOOR http:// www. youtube .com /watch?v=P_Ukr4i0BmA <------ Youtube video walk around for this car. This car is very very rare only so many out there. I bought the car the way it is and just dont have the time to complete it. The body is in very nice shape. The car is just in rolling condition for shipping. I also have most all of the glass for the windows as well as the window trim moldings. It also comes with the window and door cranks on the original wood door pannels. The wood that the window and door cranks are on are in ruff shape but still really cool. This car is from Portland Oregon/ Washington(now in Denver). The car was turnned into a hot rod project in the early 50's. The car went from owner to owner garage to garage and never has been on the road. This car is so very cool and has allot of room for passengers. This car is like a small limo compared to a ford model A sedan. The shoulder room in this car is great compared to a Model A. The back seating area is wide enough for 3 people with ample leg and foot room and still have storage space behind the rear seat! I have none of the seats for this car.The car looks very bad to the bone with its rear suicide doors. This car chopped and lowered would look killer becuase its so wide! My dream for this car was to install a buick 401 v8 nailhead engine and load up all my buddies and go to the old car cruises in style and comfort. You see allot of fords and chevy 20's-30's old school rods but not Buick's! This car would be a real jaw droppling jewel for sure. The engine mounts are for a 455 buick big block. I am pretty sure a 364,401 and 425 nailhead buick v8's had the same motor mounts. I am not sure what series this car is. The 31's had differnt levals of trim/options and were label such in series 60 70 80 and 90 I beleave. Also 1931 was the first year that Buick offered the over head valve "fire ball" straight 8 cylinder engine! The frame I was told is a 37 chevy pickup. The frame is very old school and cool. I was going to make a new frame for the car but its really much of the history of this car. It also has a sunroof that works very smooth. The rear axle is a 1956 olds or at least I was told. The 3rd member is out and the axles still in so you can still roll it around. The front axle is a truck unit with disc brakes its not connected to the frame. I will secure the axle to the frame before its shipped or picked up. This your chance to own a very rare solid car. This car is kinda like a clean canvas you can take the build in allot of directions street rod, rat rod, hot rod or? The car needs to be sorted out and refreshed for sure but what a great start! This car when done would be an award winning machine! Email me for any questions you might have. Sorry dont have the fenders/running boards. Thanks for your bids!
