I bought this car to save on fuel when diesel was $5.00. This car was garage kept until I bought it, at which it had been stored for about three years. A new transmission had been installed out of the crate in 1999. The car had been driven by a 50 year old man ten miles to work and back until it was garage kept for three years. Once they acquired grandchildren, they no longer used the car. Once I got the car, I drove it for six months (to work and back only). The transmission went out on my way to work after 6 months. I never had the trans checked, but I decided to just sell the car instead of putting money into fixing it since I am single and have other vehicles. The car is as is. It has NEW front tires, has 70% left on rear tires, TWO-YEAR OLD battery, engine starts and runs perfectly, exhaust is great, and the vehicle has been on the racks at my mechanics. There is no rust on any body panels except the roof has a crack in the paint allowing it to rust a bit. The clear coat is chipping, as visible in the pictures. There is a small crack on the interior in the driver's seat. There are small imperfections in the interior; however, the interior is VERY decent yet aged. The CD player does not work - it isn't factory. One can be installed though. The power windows do not work - have no idea why. The suspension & undercarriage is excellent according to mechanic. All glass is great - no cracks. No leaks in trunks or windows. Wheels are in good shape except for few chips of paint - look at pics. Engine is great, body is in good condition, excellent car for someone wanting to build a new trans. Car does not smoke or use oil. Adult driven only!! On Apr-24-10 at 19:26:39 PDT, seller added the following information:This car does shift in all gears and is drivable. However, since the car gave me this problem, I have started it and driven it on short 4 to 5 mile runs to keep battery charged and engine lubricated. But to be confident and safe, the car would have to be transported by trailer.
