1995 Subaru Legacy for parts or whole. This is a factory right hand drive vehicle from Subaru and is all wheel drive. It has 196K plus miles on it and runs very well. The car has brand new tires and the engine and transmission are is good shape. We do not have any problems with the transmission and this winter the car ran great through the over 48 inches of snow we had in February. The engine doesn't have any knocks or problems and goes through typical oil useage for an engine with almost 200K. The car was brought in for PA inspection recently and we were told of the following problems. The car needs inner tire rods, both ball joints and there was a new speed odometer sensor replaced, but there must be short in wire (no transmission or engine light on). This is the extent of the mechanical. The body needs work on the strut tower on the rear passenger side, rear end support and rocker panels. The interior is in pretty good shape, and the body has some typcial surface rust for a Subaru. The hatch is usually a problem area for Subaru's, but this one is in pretty good shape. The car also has a back up signal installed on it when the car is put into reverse. We do not have much knowledge on how to do body work and just got done putting some money in our other postal vehicle. We are not mechanics and only know as much as the garage has told us on the written PA inspection report. We have dealt with the same garage for years and have complete trust in what we are being told. The car runs pretty darn good and is perfect for the rural route.
