1996 Lexus ES 300 - Automatic - Leather - Sunroof - Coachman Edition - 115,869 Miles Car runs and drives very nicely. Excellent tires and the brakes feel fine. According to AutoCheck this vehicle was issued a Reconstructed title on July 31, 1997. Somehow the vehicle was issued a clear title on 10/20/97 in New York (with the odometer reading 8,835), where it was owned and driven by one person for the past 12 1/2 years. It is being sold in "As Is" condition due to an illuminated "Check Engine" light - it will not pass NY State's strict inspection standard unless that pesky light is turned off. New York residents are also unable to bid or buy since it will not pass NY State's inspection. As a NY State dealer, if it does not pass inspection, I cannot sell it to a NY resident unless you are a registered dealer, are registering or retitling the vehicle out of state or are using it for "Parts Only". Anyone else in the world can bid and buy. One more minor problem. Although the car runs great and has a new upper half of the motor with a timing belt - the car starts and runs - it will not restart! It just cranks but will not restart When it's cold (sitting overnight, or a couple of hours) it starts and will not stop until you turn it off. You can drive it home - if you're adventurous, but I recommend shipping. If you drive it home, don't shut it off unless it's parked for the night or unless you're a qualified mechanic. Body is very good, and the interior is nice, except for the front seats. It could use a nice detailing to make it sharp. Passenger mirror glass is missing. We have a couple of replacements that should fit. (as pictured) AC may need a freon charge - not blowing cold AC. Factory CD player in the trunk. It goes to the highest bidder. No Reserve!
