THIS IS A STUNNINGLY RESTORED LAST OF A KIND MKII MGA 1962, TOTAL BODY OFF RESTORATION. VERY RELUCTANT SALE, THIS CAR IS GORGEOUS THOUGH NOT CONCOURS AS IT HAS THE LARGER 1800CC MGB ENGINE AND A TOTALLY ONE OF A KIND CUSTOM INTERIOR. I HAVE BEEN TO MANY SHOWS AND HAVE SEEN NONE NICER, THIS ONE TRULY TURNS HEADS. IT WAS FULLY REBUILT ABOUT 10 YRS AGO USING A COMPLETE ORIGINAL CAR, I HAVE ALL PHOTOGRAPHIC DETAILS AND HUNDREDS OF RECEIPTS TOTALING NEAR $30,000. EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE HAS BEEN, THEN SOME. THE CAR WAS BUILT BY AN ENGINEER AND EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL WAS REPLACED AND UP GRADED WITH MARINE QUALITY WIRE AND CONNECTORS. CUSTOM MAPLE DASH AND SIDE TRIM, ONE OF A KIND AND HAND MADE, STUNNING. 1800CC ENGINE FITTED AND ALL SOUND PROOFED, FLAWLESS RUNNING AND SHIFTING, CRUISES AT 80MPH. A JOY TO DRIVE AND HAS ALL THE OPTIONAL WINDSHIELD FITTINGS, PLUS RACING REAR MIRRORS. THIS CAR SOUNDS GREAT AND RUNS WITHOUT FLAW. NEW TONNEAU COVER AND NEW SOFT TOP, ITS NEVER BEEN USED. WOODEN STEERING WHEEL, LEATHER SEATS AND CUSTOM MAPLE GEAR SHIFT KNOB. 5 ORIGINAL WIRE WHEELS WITH CHROME KNOCK OFFS. THE TRUNK IS RUST FREE WITH JACK AND SPARE TIRE. THE CAR COMES WITH MANUALS, REPAIR BOOKS, PARTS BOOKS, PHOTO ALBUM OF COMPLETE GROUND UP RESTORATION AND A FOLDER OF RECEIPTS, THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN TRADES OR TIME WASTERS, IF YOU KNOW BRITISH CARS THEN YOU KNOW HOW SPECIAL THIS CAR IS. THE ENGINE IS AN EARLY 1800CC MGB-3 MAIN ENGINE AND HAS BEEN REBUILT TO UNLEADED STANDARDS, IT HAS UPGRADES VALVES AND SEATS WITH MANGANESE BRONZE GUIDES. I HAVE ALL RECEIPTS AND FULL PHOTOGRAPHIC RECORD OF TOTAL RESTORATION. YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER. On Apr-19-10 at 10:28:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE HAD ONE KNUCKLE HEAD POINT OUT THAT THE CAR HAS THE WRONG ENGINE FOR THE YEAR AND IT HAS AN EARLIER GRILL, ALSO THE COLOUR IS WRONG FOR THAT YEAR. ALL THIS I KNOW AND IF YOU CAN READ, ITS ALL IN THE DESCRIPTION. ALL OF MY RECEIPTS ARE FROM MOSS MOTORS, EVERYTHING IS CORRECT MGA, THE ENGINE AGAIN IS FROM AN MGB, THAT HAS BEEN MENTIONED NOW TWICE. SO HERE WE GO AGAIN FOR THE MENTALLY CHALLENGED. MY CAR HAS AN 1800CC MGB ENGINE WITH UP GRADED GEARBOX, MUCK BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN THE STANDARD 1600CC. I LOVE BRITISH RACING GREEN, NOT RED, SO I OPTED TO BUY A CAR IN THIS COLOUR. AGAIN, NOT CORRECT FOR 1962 BUT A CORRECT BRITISH PERIOD COLOUR. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I AM ENGLISH. THIS CAR HAS BEEN TO MANY BRITISH CAR MEETS AND EVERYONE THERE APPRECIATED THE CAR AND LOVED ITS LOOK, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT FINISHED TO 100 POINT CONCOURS CONDITION. ONE MORE TIME, IT IS NOT A TRAILER QUEEN, ITS A FUNCTIONAL DRIVER THAT WAS FULLY RESTORED AND IS MEANT TO BE DRIVEN. NOW PLEASE, I AM A BUSY MAN, NO MORE RETARDED COMMENTS. THANK YOU.
