Vehicle Detail

100% Achievable dream + Recession = 75% dream come true. This could be your perfect opportunity to pick up where I left off. FOR SALE: 75% restored 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door HP Muscle Car #’s match. VIN #6K43C201707. Door tag #63B-X 30 16C 44 6 6 I am offering this car up for sale hopefully to someone with a complete restoration in mind with the time and resources to complete this dream for themselves. I am the second owner and have had this car pretty much up on stands since 1979 and stored in interior with dry conditions 90% of its life with me. I have all receipts for everything that has been done totaling around $10,000 most of which was spent in 79 as well. I will try to list as much as I can that has been done in as good of detail as I can. FEATURES: Unshure of actual mileage but odometer shows 1900+ Engine: Original 289 block, bored, balanced and blueprinted to a 400HP 302 with less than 75 miles driven since 1979 but started on a regular basis. Engine is mounted with solid steel motor mounts sitting inside an engine compartment sparkling with fresh paint and polished chrome throughout. Engine details: Have all original boxes. 1) Competition Cam #31-410-1 Grind # FS29658 Serial 289-302 Stage II 2) Badger pistons (October 1979) P726 R .030 3) Sealed Power Speed-Pro piston ring set 4) Perfect Circle Main bearings 5) FMC Cam sprocket & chain (Link-Belt) 6) Vandervell Cam bearings 7) Competition Cam connecting rods 8) Roller rockers 9) Cobra Air cleaner housing and valve covers. 10) Holley 0-4777 650 CFM. Spread bore double pumper carburetor. 11) Aries Alternator 12) Blue Streak distributor 13) 8MM Taylor resistor wires 14) Mallory coil 15) Full dual exhaust from Edelbrock aluminum anodized headers. 16) Braided steel hoses throughout engine compartment. 17) Hayden heavy duty trans cooler. Transmission: Original C4 shifted by a Mr. Gasket Pro-Matic ratchet shifter. Suspension: Equipped with Gabriel Striders in the rear and Monroe Handler-S HS-109 in the front (also from 79 but new) Rear end: 4:11 gears making this car not highway friendly as is. Tires: Grand Am Superwide G/T on Weld rims. Front (225/70/B15) Rear(235/70/B15). Also with very few miles. Brakes: Full drum front and rear completely new in and out. Interior: original front split bench removed and replaced with bucket and racing lap belts. The entire interior is matching and reupholstered including dash, rear seat, doors, and even the trunk. Minor details: 1) Windshield has been replaced. 2) Original idiot lights replaced with functional Stewart Warner, amperage, oil pressure, trans. Temp, water temp., and an 8000K tach. Gauges. 3) Both front and rear bumpers have new chrome. 4) Original trim is off car but I still have. 5) Welded sub frame connectors 6) Extra hood goes with car. 7) Solid floors and trunk with no rust. 8) The bottom of the rear quarters have been replaced and there are a few spots that do have Bondo but otherwise the body is very solid but needs a good paint job. 9) Fire extinguisher and 2-ton hydraulic jack also go with the car. 10) Chromed Wiper motor and horns. 11) 2 month old battery. Need to do list: 1) Body. 2) Trans leaks (inspect) 3) Replace rear-end gears? 4) Tune-up and change fluids 5) Electrical- Some minor updating and inspection is necessary including possibly replacing generator, headlights not working, interior lighting, wiper motor and wipers, horn (due to aftermarket steering wheel) 6) Does not have stereo installed. I have most of the hard work already done so overall this car just needs that special person with time and money to complete this project to their liking. I may have missed a few things so feel free to contact me with questions. I do have and am including boxes of extra parts from the changeover from stock as well as many original parts boxes and packaging. I also have many pictures as well as a sound bite of the engine running so email me with a request for them and I will forward them off to you. Feel free to call. All reasonable offers given serious consideration. JAY @ Home 651-463-2547 Note: Car has manual brakes and steering. Buyer is fully responsible for pick up or arranging pick up of vehicle.
