You are bidding on a 1998 Lincoln Continental with 113k miles. Powertrain: 4.6l DOHC V8, 4 Speed Automatic Overdrive Transmission Paint: Aspen Green Metallic The exterior paint is very glossy, however, there are some minor dings/blemishes as one would expect to find on a well-cared for car of this vintage. The bumpers have rubs and wear consistent with a car of this age/mileage, and there is a 3" split in the front bumper underneath the D-S headlight (see photo). Interior: Light Parchment/Dark Sand The interior is VERY clean, with only minor stains to the carpet, and the steering wheel leather is peeling (easily fixed with a WHEELSKINS cover). It comes with both OEM and winter floormats. The heated leather front seats still get VERY warm. The front seats leather is very good (no stiffness or cracking), and the back seat leather is nearly perfect. The headliner is stain-free and fully attached. Door panels look brand new, and the front windshield has about 5k miles on it. The 6-CD Changer/Tape deck works fine, and the Premium Sound system is still flawless, no blown speakers, AM/FM reception is excellent. This car does NOT have a sun/moon roof. Mechanically, this car is very good. The engine runs perfect and still gets between 24-28mpg hway (28mpg at 55mph on a flat road). The transmission shifts smooth, the dual chrome-tipped exhaust is quiet yet throaty, and there are no exhaust or fluid leaks. The front hub bearings have just been replaced by a Lincoln-Mercury dealership and the coil pack/spark plug rubber boots and power steering pump were replaced by a local shop at about 100k miles( i have receipts for all this work). The car tracks very straight, and the tire wear is normal and even, OEM Aluminum wheels are clean, no major blemishes. Brakes are quiet/smooth. No shuddering or squealing. All headlights/taillights/markerlights are bright. Basically, this is an AWESOME highway/road trip car. Kelly Blue Book Private Party Value in FAIR condition is $3100. Even though this car is closer to GOOD condition ($3600), I am pricing it below FAIR value for 3 reasons: 1) Some mechanical or cosmetic defects that require professional repair - I mentioned the crack in the bumper and the steering wheel leather peeling 2) Tires may need to be replaced - they have adequate tread but are nearing the end of their service lives. 3) This is my mother's car, and I would prefer to sell it prior to the arrival of the car being delivered this weekend There is no warranty on this vehicle, expressed or implied, and is sold AS IS.
