I purchased from private seller last year, I am a graduate-level University student and cannot afford the expenses to fix the mechanical issues, and I live in Jersey...go to school in New York and only drive it once a month. Car Issues: Brakes need a complete overhaul, new brake pads needed, and all other brake components needed, estimated at $500.00 for repairs. The car came to me needing three new front mounts on the front, right and left...I fixed two of them, and one still needs to be replaced...Goodyear estimated $122.00 for parts and $60.00 for labor. The back driver's side light needs to be replaced it is cracked. It also needs one of the four center caps...which I priced at $14.00-$20.00, and the stick shift has the stimulated wood that is peeling on the top. There are a few scratches and especially on the bumper and a few throughout the outside of the vehicle, but overall it looks really good. The battery needs to be changed, the current one just went out, probably because I rarely drive it, and it was time for a new one. I smoke, but haven't driven the car much so it doesn't smell smoky. There is some wear on the leather seats, but they look to be in very good condition. It really is a beautiful car, especially if your a VW lover! You will have to arrange for pickup yourself, I will not cover the cost of transport. Deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction $450 minimum and up to $1000 only.
