Vehicle Detail

This is an impossible to find original Buick Skyhawk ROADHAWK, with 23000 original miles and 5 speed BW transmission / 3.8L v6, with Front air dam INTACT and complete. I'm going to be honest here, I just bought this car in January 2010, and imported it into Canada, got all the paper work, and certification done and is now legal to drive and insure in Vancouver Canada. Its been parked in my Garage, and must have driven it maybe 4 times and barely put on 100 miles, before I felt like its just not for me. I used to own one in high school, and have been looking for years for another, when I came across this one, I did not think, and paid the $3000 US for it, plus gas and trailer rental to the sum of $1200, paid taxes, duties, paper work fee's, inspection fee's, changed the rotors, pads, got a distributor and brand new Carb for it, and I know I'm in it for nearly $5000 I'm listing the car here on Ebay to get the highest bid possible but there is a reserve, its in nice original shape, but needs some touch ups here and there, but NOTHING major any time soon. The car NEEDS NOTHING .To pass inspection every single item that was factory on this car has to work perfectly and in spec, and I can assure you it is in %100 working order, every light bulb works, doors open and close like new, locks are crisp and not loose and or worn, the keys are both original GM with barely any sign of wear. The Miles are TRUE at only 23XXX miles. Inspection is current and expires in Febuary 2011. Functions: 10/10 Heater perfect Wipers perfect Doors rust free and perfect Locks work perfect ( trunk incl) AM FM factory Delco Cassette player working nice! Interior Condition: 9.5/10 Near Flawless, drivers seat looks great after a good clean up, it is used, but intact, the rest of the interior is perfect, besides the headliner which I will fix upon sale. No rips in carpet, dash is mint, even the Chrome accents are all there and barely rubbed off. Exterior Condition: 7/10 The window trims needs to be repainted black, the trim paint has flaked off over the years, and the exterior paint is NICE and shiny, original. Has one ding/ Scratch on the right side roof, but otherwise great original condition including the original vinyl decals. The Rear Roadhawk special quarter panel extentions has a slight warp to them, but should straighten out in the sun( happened when it got real cold) Factory Special D hole aluminum rims are Flawless and are in mint condition, the tires are literally 100% new and tread is as well. All 4 rims come with the matching center caps and all have the skyhawk logo intact ( I keep the center caps off the wheels and in the car , I dont want to risk loosing them) I still have the FACTORY UNIROYAL raised white wall tires!! ( In pictures car has factory rallys with the new tires, the Aluminum D hole rims are currently still at the shop being reconditioned, will update listing with NEW pics when I get them back from shop, and will go with car if it sells for a certain target price I have in mind.) FACTORY HARD TO FIND INTACT air dam is complete, intact and delicate. I had redone the red lower pinstripe on the front air dam to replace the old stripe that was missing in some spots. The whole Roadhawk add on package is intact, complete and not missing. Body /Undercarriage Condition: 7/10 Excellent, NO rust, no holes, no suprises. Car was treated with Ziebart rust protection when it was new, and I have a feeling it really paid off by preserving this car. Please, look at the pictures, they speak for themselves! Power Plant: 10/10 Factory 3.8L V6 and 5 speed Borg Warner Trans, Nothing modified at all. No Ac. Drivability: 10/10 Nice and smooth, quiet with no noises , dead smooth at ALL speeds, powerful engine and perfect shifting transmission. It had a factory 4 spd, but I put in a 5 spd and now gets amazing fuel economy and will max out the speedometer and keep on going! The Roadhawk is bone stock , the only add ons was the new carb, brakes, tires, light bulbs, 5 spd trans, with new LUK clutch, and I had the flywheel machined while everything was apart with new thrust bearing as well. The Roadhawks Original Owner drove the car for 2 years (79-80) and parked it in his garage for 28 years. He Parked it because he found out GM was only making these cars for 2 years only and that was it, after 1982 The NEW J bodies came out in Front wheel drive and replaced the old RWD H bodies. I have ALL paper work from new, with dealer stuff, Original owners info etc. Everything has been collected on this car and the BUILD SHEETS are still on the car, never taken out. EXTRAS: I also have a spare set of D hole rims ( second spare set of 4) to go with the car along with the factory rally wheels in mint condition(once it passes certain price point) . Also, I have a complete ASTROROOF conversion, with the glass roof, trims, and aluminum targa band for an extra $600. I have two full Astro roofs intacts($600 each), and trims for two full conversions. This will be available at time of purchase of car, and if the winning bidder pass's on this , they will be auctioned off on ebay on a later date. The Astroroofs were saved from 2 other Skyhawks and are intact, with frames and all pieces to do the conversion on any H body hatchbacks. ( was going to do the astro roof conversion on this roadhawk, but here we are!) Why am I selling? I lost interest, and I'm really into S series Trucks and want one to play with instead. It worries me that the Roadhawk might get scratched, dented, or worse....an accident while I'm out enjoying it on a Sunday drive, its too nice to risk that and it stress's me out . She deserves a nice home, somebody to appreciate her natural rare one of a kind in this condition car. She's in Vancouver BC Canada, and If you are from the US and win the bid, you must fly down here and import the car to the US under your name. Plus, you can have the car transfered to your name and legally insured to drive it back home within 30 mins. You just need a valid drivers license, and anyone from anywhere in the world can transfer a car to thier name and have the title/ registration printed and handed to you in 30 mins. NO JOKE, no waiting 3 weeks or so......thats how it is here in Vancouver BC . Storage is not a problem if you need me to store it for you. You must pay a deposit via Paypal ( $500) after auction end, and the whole amount is due 3 days at end of auction. No payment plans, I O U 's! I CAN deliver the car anywhere across Canada for you depending on where you live, I just need gas money, and flight ticket back, not looking to make money on delivery, just giving you more options to help make this sale easy for the both of us. As it is, I know I wont get $5000 for it, I'm loosing thousands, and I'm aware of that. I will have a reserve that is more than fair for the cars value, given that you just have to get in and go. I want this to be as painless as possible. Car is a true survivor, never chopped up , all original. Being sold as is where is, and please expect some moderate wear and tear. The pictures are actual, and present. What you see is what you get. Local pickup or shipping across Canada only. If you are in the US, you must arrange pick up or shipping, or either fly down here and drive it back, save money and enjoy the trip with a story to take home with you! I have worked on this listing Ad for 2 hours, making sure to get the details as much as possible to you, if I missed anything, and or you have questions or need pictures of specific areas, please email me. TITLE IS FREE AND CLEAR!! On Apr-12-10 at 15:31:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I had some questions about the car, and thought I would clear them up, 1. The tires are brand new BF Goodrich T/A's size 205/60/13's the tread is at 100%. 2 . Carburator was replaced because I thought it it ran rough because it needed a carb, I put the carb on and it runs better, but I think it needs the timing done, spark plugs, wires, cap rotor fuel filter and air filter with pcv valve have been changed. It drives fine but idles a little rough.....I think there is a vacume leak or timing is off?? YOU can drive it and keep up with traffic no problem, but as my disclaimer, its going to need a tune up, possibly tweaking of the new carb. 3. The old carb goes with the car, I have spare skyhawk emblems original that go with the car, also have all 4 wheel caps for the rally wheels. 4. The D hole rims are available and have been refurbished, they are still at the shop being polished out, they are available for sale if the car sells for a certain number I have in mind. 5. I have the original front vinyl rubber floor mats from the factory in great original shape in neutral gray and go with the car. 6. the inner door pulls are not broken and are intact 7.You can drive it 3000 miles to home if you wanted to, I would not hesitate. 8.the ASTRO ROOFS I have are complete with everything you need for conversions , I have 2 sets, each set at $600 each. Please keep the questions coming, be happy to answer them!! On Apr-15-10 at 20:43:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Below is all the pictures of extra parts I have , some go with the car, some are for sale. You will see the glass astro roof protected with tape around the edges, still in the frame, with trims, and aluminum targa band. I have 3 Roadhawk seats, one mint, and the others I saved just incase you need the stripe and decal on the seats, etc. The buick Emblems, wheel caps, and logos all go with the car. Also, is a picture of the original UNIROYAL tires with tread. one tire has lost its tread partially, and the other 3 are intact. Excellent tread, but I would NOT recommend use of these tires, they are OLD and only kept with the car for authentic value sake . A couple of pictures are of the front left tire, I just choose this one to show a more closer detail of the design of the white wall lettering, and the tread ( at 100%) I've had many questions about more interior pictures, so I hope these few pictures help, I have Roadhawk Doorpanels, spare dash pad ( AC though) Spare center console, spare kick panels all in factory neutral gray, most parts from my original roadhawk. If you have any questions, please ask, dont hesitate, I want everyone to understand and answer all questions you may have!! :) On Apr-16-10 at 19:59:52 PDT, seller added the following information: With the auction nearing the end, I figured I would let you know what RESERVE IS since the bids are real close to meeting it. $2500 is reserve! Good luck!
