Up for sale is 1953 Simplex Servi Cycle. The original Simplix engine was missing when I purchased it. I have fitted it with an early Briggs & Stratton WMB engine. Not exactly sure of the year, but according to Briggs & Stratton documentation, these engines were produced from 1938 - 1957. I did not "Restore" the bike but rather went through it mechanically. The following are new.....Belts, Bearings, pulleys, Choke Cable, Throttle Cable, Brake cable, Throttle assembly, grips, Tires, Tubes, Rim strips, Battery, Tail light lens, Head and Tail Light bulbs, Tank decals, Rear spoke nipples. I turned the brake drum and cleaned the brake shoes, I services the springer front end and it works flawlessly. This bike runs and drives. Everything works, including lights and brakes. I equipped it with a pulley system connected to a tank mounted suicide shifter. If you are looking for a 66 year old interesting conversation piece that runs and drives look no further. Take this to your local campground, swap-meet or the pits of your local race track and you are sure to be asked questions. If you are looking for a powerful street bike, pass on this item and keep on looking. This turns heads every where I take it. If you want a one of a kind machine, here it is.
