Vehicle Detail
One owner. Ordered 10/2004. Took delivery 12/2004. One of the first S197's built. Beautiful exhaust rumble. Nice little rocking at the stop light. Currently has 143,183 miles. That will go up since I still drive it, but not much since I don't drive it much during the winter. Still runs great. Mods: -Antenna delete the day I picked it up. Antenna's in the trunk. -Flowmaster American Thunder -3.73's -Ford Racing intake manifold -BBK throttle body -Ford Racing CAI -Ford Racing hot rod cams -MSD Street Fire coils (08/2018) -Brisk Silver racing plugs (08/2018) -Tuned to run on premium (Tuner included) -Powder coated valve covers -JLT oil catch (driver's side) -Ford leather console lid (not a cover) (original is plastic) -GT500 interior door panels with leather arm rests (originals are plastic) -Replaced headlights and fog lights 4 years ago and put 3M film on them -New windshield 3 months ago -New Kumho's 3 months ago -Black aluminum seatback releases (originals are plastic) -Black aluminum door lock bezels (originals are plastic) -Rubber trunk mat with mustang logo -Hood struts -Strut covers -White LED interior lights -White LED illuminated sill plates -Red front/rear floor mats -Made a simple mount for the front plate attached underneath because I don't want holes in the front fascia -Sequential tail lights -Turn signal mirrors - not connected to the brakes, signals only -Battery tender -Lowered about 1-1.5". I think the springs are Ford Racing, but I can't remember exactly. I bought them from Classic Design Concepts and that's all they sell so... I change the oil religiously every 5k and have only ever used Mobil 1. Zero leaks of any fluids ever. New fuel filter maybe 10k miles ago? Comes with grey Ford car cover with mustang logo. The (not so) bad: It's not currently as clean on the outside as these pics. They were taken a month ago and I still drive it so... The original step motors in the '05's were pretty much all lemons. I've replaced all the step motors except for the oil pressure so that gauge doesn't work. I have a few spare step motors and it's a pretty simple fix if you know how to solder/de-solder. A few months after I picked it up, I bumped into an explorer at like 5-10 mph and had to have the front fascia replaced. A couple years later, I hit a possum and replaced the front fascia again. The front fascia has some small marring in the front dead center when I was parked a little too close to the garage when it was in motion. Besides that it's all original paint and it shows, but it still looks awesome when waxed. The back right head rest has a depression from the child's car seat. It can probably be remedied by a good upholstery shop, but it never bothered me. I replaced the interior door panels with GT500 panels after the red leather inserts bubbled up and started peeling off. I've had these panels for nearly 6 years and there is only some slight bubbling on the passenger side. My suggestion to fix before they get worse is to use a very small hypodermic needle to apply adhesive behind them. I'll do this if the car doesn't sell soon. This problem is exacerbated by east coast/humid states (I lived in NC the first 7 years I had this car). Shoot me any questions.
