Vehicle Detail
Selling my restored 1960 Ford F-100 truck. The truck was restored over a 9 month period from 1988-1989 and was driven for four summers from 1989-1992. In 1992 it was placed on floor jacks in the garage and has been there ever since. Currently, it does not run, but has not aged at all due to weather or adverse conditions. The massive 351M-400 engine and C-6 transmission are secured by custom engine and transmission mounts made by Dennis Carpenter Reproductions. The steering is upgraded by a power assist steering unit also produced by the same company. This powerful combination is linked up with a Ford 9" 3.50 rear end differential, and, assuming I can find it, will include the original 3.70 rear differential. The engine was rebuilt from a re-manufactured short block in May of 1989 and has approximately 6,000 miles on it. Obviously, the truck is not all original - it was built to be a street rod. The chrome grill and headlight doors are exceptional. The grill was NOS painted and chromed by "The Tin Man" who used to have a booth at Carlisle. The headlight doors were found at the car show in Butler, PA and were NOS chrome in unopened boxes. However, I have the original straight six engine and transmission combination which will be included with the truck. Also included with the truck are: Set of extra fendersTwo extra hoodsTwo extra tailgatesSet of extra doorsSet of aluminum Thrush side pipes (never installed)A few boxes of extra random parts which includes side spears and the painted headlight doorsThis is a fantastic project car that can be running with a bit of engine work.
