This 1999 Jeep Cherokee has been mine for 16 years. It has been a great car with no major repairs. It rides well and is very comfortable. This car will get you through any snow situation as it has for me! Normal rust for a 17 year old car that has seen it's share of New England winters. The car is mechanically sound for its age. The engine sounds good, the transmission shifts like it should and the 4wd works. There are leaks at the transmission/transfer case and a rear pinion seal. There are other smaller leaks which is to be expected for a vehicle of this age. New rear brake pads and rotors were just put on as well as e-brake shoes. The rear backing plates will need replacing as they are rusted badly. They were not done with the brakes. The A/C does not work. The 4 tires are like new with 10/32" tread. The burn hole on rear fender passenger side is from a torch I was using during an under-car repair that I didn't realize had melted the plastic cover. Inside is clean and smoke free. Body paint is in good shape for a 17 year old vehicle, no major bumps or dings. The underside is rusted, mostly at the rocker panels. You can see it by the burn hole.
