Vehicle Detail
I have owned this car for almost 8 years. I never abused it, just used it as a fun means of transportation. (I never even tried a "burn out" or exceeded 90mph)It was my daily driver but it now serves as a second car. I no longer drive it much and think it needs a better home. (don't bother with low ball offers, I don't actually *need* to sell the car) I had it registered under my parents for a while, hence two owners being listed in my 8 years of ownership. I also know one of the owners re registered it to his daughter... hence this is realistically a 6 owner car. It also lists two accidents. (one occurred under my ownership when an Audi ran a stop sign. The only damage was to the rim, hence now I have Cobra wheels on the car. I have installed many premium or rare parts on the car. It has real 17' Cobra rims. The seats are also real (not TMI fake) Cobra ones, with no holes or tears. The gauge cluster face is a real Mach 1 export edition. The front calipers are freshly rebuilt (not used) Cobra ones. Also, the car comes from the factory with the desirable Charcoal interior. Most, if not all the common issues/defects have been serviced at some point of ownership. New CCRM, oem door hinges, fuel filler gasket, camber/caster kit (for a perfect alignment), oem idle speed, and more that I forget.Common maintenance has also been done ranging from spark plugs, filter changes, shocks/struts, and up to replacing the radiator and water pump as preventative maintenance. I have a professional shop service the AC every two years. Also installed new calipers, pads, and rotors less than 2k miles ago.Only major repairs were a clutch 5k miles ago and a rear axle 10k miles ago. I replaced the clutch with a Ford (not motorcraft) OEM clutch because the previous owner decided to install a racing clutch making the car very difficult for my girlfriend to drive. I replaced the axle with a used 50k mile one as mine had metal shavings and the lsd clutches weren't holding in snow)The vinyl hood stripes started cracking, so I had them properly removed and replaced a month ago. Since they are fresh, if you don't like them... They can peel off cleanly with minimal effort. The only "mod" to the drivetrain is flowmaster mufflers. It still has the cats and will pass emmissions fine. There are no "tunes" or illegal/hack modifications. Now the bad... A friend talked me into using polyurethane motor mounts. They make the car rough and I've regretted them ever since. Also, the previous owner installed a dorky cold air intake that probably does more harm than good. Never got around to buying a good stock intake. Lastly, the body. I keep this car on the streets of NYC, so it has plenty of dings and such. It also had some meh body work and a used fender when I got it. If your one foot away and looking thoroughly, you can see all the imperfections. However, from 5ft away, it looks great. I get compliments on the car almost weekly, which is surprising for an 18 year old daily driver. I have this car listed locally in NYC and reserve the right to sell it privately.
