Thanks for checking out my Aston Martin. I hope this narrative will answer most questions you may have. Please feel free to contact me for any other needed information.2006 is my favorite year for V8 Vantage cars. The base coupe is a sports car made for daily driving and reliability. Not only were they priced right, all eyes in the industry were on this model's first year's design, engineering and manufacture. Only 3000 copies were made for the world with 2100 going outside the UK. Mine is the 1797th made.While I cannot speak specifically about the four owners before me, what I can say is that the car was driven very little until I bought it. Over the nine years prior to my ownership the car was driven less than 1500 miles a year approximately 30 miles a week. The last owner before me put less than 400 miles on it from August 2014- July 2015.Service records indicate all required basic maintenance has been performed and the one and only recall notice for 2006 Vantage cars calling for replacement of the front suspension bolts was addressed in 2010. No critical systems/component failures occurred needing major repair work were recorded.A deciding factor for my purchase of this particular car was the dealership it rested with. Miller Motorcars of Greenwich Connecticut is one of a few Premier Aston Martin Dealers in the U.S. Prior to my purchase the car was prequalified for a 12 month bumper to bumper Aston Martin factory warranty. This entailed a documented service of over 22 hours consisting of changing all filters and fluids along with installing new rear brakes/rotors along with the required 140 point check in order for Aston Martin Corporate to endorse the warranty which they did. More importantly, considering Aston Martin will normally not warranty a car older than 10 years, this particular car I was told was put together so well that I was offered an additional 2 years warranty which gave the car in essence a new car warranty from the time of purchase.During the period from Late July through September 2015 I put the car through its paces which was sorely needed. Within three weeks it felt like a new and different car compared to the test drive. Suspension and steering components worked their way into synch. The amazing braking system its equipped with became amazing and the new rear brakes were seated correctly for 500 miles. The exhaust system came to life and gas mileage improved.I'm proud of this car. All books, records and pictures are authentic. Is it flawless and perfect, no. It is a driver's car. Absolutely. Can you find a newer model with less miles on it? I guess you could but it would not be as well sorted as this one.The car has been thoroughly serviced yearly at Long Island Sports Cars in Roslyn NY. Over the last three years every system and component in this car has been inspected or serviced. I have been averaging 3000 miles per year from April to December and storing the car until the roads clean up. During this period the car is started and run at idle for 30 minutes each week to perform tests of all systems. The most recent service was performed in June of this year. According to the techs who worked on the car, the original clutch grabs as new and the original front brakes have a lot of meat. I have a clean Carfax as well all invoices for review. The car won both "The People's Choice" and "Second in Class" awards at the 2016 Long Island's Vanderbilt Concourse and "First Place" in 2017 at Old Westbury Gardens Concourse shows. The trophies go with the car as well. I didn't enter the car in any 2018 events. Articles about the car appeared in both Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car in 2/17 and Aston Martins Owners Club Magazine: Vantage Point shortly thereafter.In 2016 I decided to take the opportunity to powder coat and ceramic coat the wheels and brake calibers and get clear 3M protectant applied to the lower front bumper assembly as well as both rear quarter panels and mirrors. This work was done to a high standard to Executive Paint Protection in Farmingdale Ny. I also replaced the standard leather gear shift knob with a DBS weighted billet shifter. I have retained the stock one. I also installed front mud guards and replaced the plastic radio knobs with matching machined billet ones from England. It's also important to note that this is a GPS delete car which is a good thing. Not only is a 12 year old disc based GPS useless, the hole cut in the piano wood on the dash to mount the swivel door and screen have a strong tendency to rattle over time.My reason for selling is that I'm retiring and relocating to an area without a local Aston Martin Dealer and want to pursue new interests. I'm hoping to sell this car to someone in the NY,NJ,CT areas that will come and see it and review all the documents I have about it. I have been offered an acceptable price from a variety of dealers but would really like to know who's buying it to own and drive it and meet them in person.
