Barn Find! Up for sale a real 1968 Mustang Fastback. This is a rock solid running, driving South Carolina car. Mustang has a 289 cu in. V8 with 4 bbl carb and an automatic transmission. . Original quarters and floors in great shape. This Mustang is the perfect car to drive and work on as you go to make it a strong driver. Also the right body to build your Eleanor, Shelby or BULLITT. This car will need work to make it more reliable and more presentable but easy restoration. DrivetrainCar started life as a "T" code 6 cyl car. At some point was correctly converted to a 8 cyl. with 5 lug wheels and right rear end. C4 transmission shifts as it should. Open rear end. The engine starts and idles great. New points and condenser. One piece shock tower support and Monte Carlo bar. Has traction bars BodyAll original sheet metal except for driver fender and inner apron. probably accident involving LF but repairs appear to have been done correctly and nice panel alignment. Quarters, doors,floors, frame rails, torque boxes, trunk and fenders are all in good shape and will not require replacement. Overall body is straight. A couple rust issues in corner of passenger door, corner of rear window, and corner of driver's quarter panel. New bumpers, rest of exterior chrome decent. Paint is red and car was originally burgundy. Paint is peeling off cowl and generally faded. InteriorAll fiberglass pieces present that make up back seat. Non fold down back seat. Headliner in great condition. Has deluxe 3 point factory seat belts. Center console. Seats are in decent shape. Door panels, door bottoms, dash pad all good. Needs a carpet set. Original carpet padding still present and in good shape. Floors look great. Radio works, has boxed speakers in package tray. Trunk divider panel was cut for speakers. All electrical working: wipers, blower, headlights, back up lights, console and interior lighting. Gauges operating properly. All glass in great condition and windows open/close as they should. Brakes and Wheels4 wheel drum brakes. Car has good pedal. We bled them all and working properly. No leaks. Wheels are 1968 Styled steel wheels in great condition with GT center caps. Goodyear Eagle ST raised white letter tires in like new condition. Rims are 14". They have wheel locks but key is missing. Most body shops carry universal adapters to remove these. Exhaust and Suspension Dual exhaust but rusty and mufflers blown. Mostly original suspension parts but operating properly.
