This is a 1960 Triumph TR3A in need of restoration. It comes with the British Motors Industry Heritage Trust Certificate confirming the original colors of black paint with red interior. The car/chassis number is TS72772LO and the engine number is TS73036E, which corresponds with, and is believed to be, the original engine. The body number is 1071824 (also believed original.) It left the factory on April 13, 1960 for personal export to Germany. I’m not sure when it came to the United States, but it comes with its current clear Florida title and a photocopy of the previous Texas title that was issued 6/27/1983.BODY / FLOORS / PAINT: Unfortunately, this TR3A was stored outside for several years with the trunk lid off and the top down. As a result, it will need new floors and trunk floor, as well as other rust repair. It looks like a previous owner began sanding off the paint to begin the restoration, but that was about as far as he got. The frame will need some rust repair as can be seen in the pictures. I believe this car is a worthwhile project and is priced very fairly.MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL: This car is not running and driving at this time, but the engine does turn by hand and also turns by pushing the car while in gear. The gearbox goes in and out of gear and can hold the car in place. The tires are very old but still hold air. The car rolls and steers easily for shipping. The odometer reads 53,186 but I don't know if that is correct (it is mileage-exempt because of age.) The engine, dash, wiring harness, and gauges look correct and unmolested. This car originally came with overdrive, but I was told that it currently has a non-overdrive gearbox.PARTS INCLUDED: The parts shown in the pictures are included with the car. There are two pictures showing them spread out on the floor and one showing them loaded in the car ready for shipping. No other parts are included.TITLE TRANSFER AND PAPERWORK: I am a long-time classic car hobbyist and a licensed Florida car dealer (Classic Investment Motorcars Inc.) This means that you must complete the required sales and title transfer forms with me, which can be done in person or through the mail. The car cannot be released until I have received all completed paperwork and cleared payment in full.DOCUMENTATION FEE: A flat fee of $100 is charged on all vehicle purchases to help cover postage, paperwork, vehicle preparation, and other costs. This fee applies regardless of whether you are an individual or a dealer.SALES TAX: If the vehicle is shipped out of Florida by common carrier or freight forwarder I will not need to collect sales tax (you will take care of that where you live.) If you live in another state and pick up the car here, most states will give you credit for the sales tax I collect (in this case the sales tax rate will be the lesser of 6% or the rate that applies to you in your state.)
