Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1952 Chevrolet Syleline De Luxe 2-door sedan “stock car.” Vehicle is powered by a high revving 283 Chevy small block with 327 camel hump heads. The transmission is a Muncie M20 four-speed with Hurst shifter. The carb is a Holley Street Avenger 570 CFM and Weiand intake. The exhaust is custom built headers, no mufflers and the pipes dump in front of rear wheels. The car is loud when you get-on-it. The radiator is aluminum. Ignition is standard GM electronic. The entire vehicle was rewired with a fuse panel located on the inside firewall. The drive shaft is open (no torque tube) and a Chevy 10 bolt rear axle. This car starts easy and runs great. Vehicle has a Wilwood brake/clutch pedal assembly. The clutch uses a hydraulic throw-out bearing with a Wilwood master cylinder. The brakes use separate Wilwood master cylinders for the front and rear with a proportioning valve. The front and rear brakes are drums with newer shoes. The front end is original and rebuilt with new kingpins. Newer shocks all around. The wheels are Aero race wheels with 1 inch lug nuts and extended studs. The tires are BF Goodrich Radial T/A 235/70R15. The front seats are from an early Ford Bronco, new foam and recovered. The rear seat is original springs but all new material to match front seats color and pattern. The dash has 3 extra clock bezels added and these four bezels house Stewart Warner temp, oil pressure, volt and fuel gauges. The bezel that used to hold those gauges now houses a tach. The other houses an NOS speedo with a current odometer reading of 2,272 miles. There is an old airplane “light indicator selection assembly” that is located within arm’s reach which houses the start button and a toggle switch for the fuel pump. All of the glass is new with new rubber or channel. The door windows roll up and down fine but a little stiff because of the age of the crank; not the new window channel. The wiper motor is original vacuum type and does work but not the best. There is no headliner, door interior panels, rear side panels, front kick panels or carpet. There is a functioning stereo with an Alpine head unit (Bluetooth capable.) The paint is an original early ‘50’s Chevy color called Aspen Green. There are a few chips and small cracks here and there, some rust bubbles around the belt and a few on the passenger rear fender, possibly from moisture getting in. However the sheet metal is all solid with no rusted through spots and trim holes all welded closed. The floorboards were all replaced. The hood seam was leaded ages ago and that might affect the lines of how it fits to the fenders however it does function great, opens/closes easily. There was a patch job on the rear passenger quarter by the taillight that is slightly mismatched in color. The grill is original and complete but not re-chromed and has a pounded out dent on the piece around the driver side turn signal. The paint is a beautiful color and gets constant comment. The rear trunk houses a 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell with sending unit, battery box which is out of a Lear Jet, and vintage stereo equipment. Fuel is delivered with an electronic fuel pump. Two things that are not installed; currently has no parking/E brake and the door weather strip rubber is not installed but is provided. This car was built with an old stock car look. Has a full roll cage but it was not set up for racing. It will not pass tech inspection; sprung seats, no fire suppression, etc. Vehicle has a clear title. Vehicle is sold as is, no warranty.
