1987 Monte Carlo SS I am selling this 1987 Monte Carlo for a friend of mine’s wife. My friend died about a year ago. I have some personal information on this car and info from his wife. I will try and list everything I know and will answer any questions. The car was painted approximately three years ago over a rust-free body using Dupont base/clear. The paint is very nice, but not trailer quality. All new weather stripping including whiskers. A complete SS decal package was installed over the clear. The car is a true SS. The interior was done after it was painted. Car has new seat covers with new foam, new carpet, new door panels, new sun visors. The dash is excellent. All gauge’s work including the Tac. All lights work including interior, truck, and hood. New tires, new battery and new AC compressor. The AC does blow but not cold. I don’t know if he installed the compressor or got sick before finishing. The original 305 was rebuilt a few years ago but I don’t know any of the details. I know the engine runs great, starts easy, and has plenty of power, oil pressure, etc. This car is an excellent driver and shows very well. My friend spent a lot of money on a car that he knew he would never get his money back, but he didn’t restore the car to resell. As the Seller (helping a friend’s wife), I have done my best to disclose all information known about this vehicle. I welcome a buyer’s inspection.
