This is an amazing, early “107” Mercedes! Vin 203-446-3477103 The Mercedes Benz 560SL, also known as the “107” body style, is one of the most recognized and celebrated automotive style icons of the 1970’s and 80’s. De to their shape, they are known as the “pagoda” style convertibles; the cars combed... vault-like build quality with excellent engineering and performance. With a sturdy removable hard top and an excellent all weather canvas convertible top, these cars offer a high level of year round practicality, style and performance. In their day, these cars were bought by the discerning enthusiasts, and its design has stood the test of time. The “107” body has now reached collector status, and low mileage, well maintained examples have become rare and collectable. The car on offer is an early low mileage 1974 Mercedes Benz 450SL Convertible. This is an early “107”; it is a very rare to find one of these cars with mileage this low and in this condition. This is a beautiful car. This iconic car has gone only 62,000 miles and is in excellent condition. We have known this car for almost 10 years, it has been well maintained and taken care. We have receipts on the car documenting many updates including restoration of the leather seats, and new convertible top. The climate control was upgraded to r-134 A/C and all of the venting systems work. The tires have only 5000 miles on them and the wheels are in excellent condition. Since 2010 the car got a new center section in the exhaust, a new radiator, new fuel injectors, a new fuel pump, a new radiator a few oil changes. The car was repainted at some point in its original RED, and shows well with deep shine and good luster (there is a small area on the trunk that has peeled). The motor runs well, and has been the recipient of a recent tune up. The BLACK leather seats were redone and the leather is in excellent condition (the seat foam had perished due to age, necessitating the seat restoration), the carpets are original and excellent. The hard top is in nice condition as well with some checking in the paint. The 62,000 miles are original to the car; it is evident by the condition. This car has been well maintained and is in excellent shape both inside and out, she is ready to go many more miles.
