Time to make way for new toys (boat) and sell my much-loved BMW G650 XCountry. I really don't want to sell her, but three bikes is just too many... or so says the wife. This is THE ONE! Right options, right year, right condition, right price.Many of you looking at this ad already know that this is a rare machine - BMW only produced these between 2007 - 2009. There were three factory variants: the xMoto, xChallenge, and the xCountry. This one is the best of the three in my opinion, as the frame and engine are best suited to a touring/scrambler/adventure riding style versus a "serious" mud masher (xChallenge) or a bratty supermoto (xMoto). An absolute blast to ride weighing in at a svelte 300lbs, with tons of grunt from the 650cc Rotax single cylinder. THIS is the bike that the lesser, more docile GS650 always wanted to be, and it's just plain good at everything. It's a blast in the twisties, can handle any dirt trail with ease, well-mannered around town, and cruises smooth and effortlessly on the highway. This is a very approachable and safe first bike for a new rider (ABS), someone who wants to voyage beyond asphalt into the world of adventure riding, and/or a reliable commuter that can be packed down for a day at the office and handle a full load of groceries on the way home.It's in amazing condition and needs nothing. Garage-kept its whole life, with gleaming paint and plastics to prove it. Never been dropped, abused, or even off-roaded other than the very occasional fire trail. I'm a stickler for all things bike maintenance and it shows - especially since you need to TRUST your machine when it's the only thing between you and 80mph of pavement.Everything is up to date, with a fresh oil change and its first valve adjustment just 1,000 miles ago. Brakes are great, with pad life at 75%+ front/rear and rotor thickness in spec. Tires are about 65% front & rear. Chain, front, and rear sprockets were replaced less than a year ago and show no wear (chain is lubed religiously every 750 miles).
