We bought this truck back in 2005 with 52K miles on it and babied it every since then. There are maintenance records to prove the care that has gone into it. This is an Avalanche 1500 but it is a stout truck. We have had to pull a car trailer infrequently and it never hesitated to pull what we needed when we needed it. The fact that Avalanches are so convertible is what makes this truck so utilitarian. This model is one of the few that came with a vinyl toneau bed cover instead of the plastic hard covers. It still covers the bed but is in sort of rough shape being 16 years old. Most of the time, this truck just took me to and from work, 8 miles away. The good: cold A/C, strong motor, power everything, sunroof, paint is nice, leather interior is in good shape, well-maintained, tow package, luggage rack on top, awesome seat heaters, DEEP locking toolboxes on either side of the bed! The bad: there are some rust bubbles coming up on either side of the rear fender-wells, some rust on the rear door sills on both sides where the door meets the body, also the left side speakers are not working as well as the right side- all of this is not noticeable yet, just wanted to disclose. Reasons for selling: we have 3 large dogs that will not stay in the bed very well so we need a truck with a camper shell! This is an early Avalanche with the plastic cladding over the body. It is 16+ years old. It is not perfect but has been cared for.On Jun-25-18 at 19:10:55 PDT, seller added the following information: We will be out of town from July 7th until July 14.
