1964 Chevy c10 shortbed Fleetside Custom Cab . I purchased truck from Original Owners Nephew . Had been in family 54 years . He Inherited it from his dad in 2011 after a 15 year stay in his garage. At that time he spent over $10,000 ( I have all receipts) Having it brought up to standards to give to his son on 16th birthday . Son didn't want it , didn't like shifting gears , no loud stereo ect , you get the picture. Very Disappointed his dad let it sit in driveway until I purchased . Said it had only 150 or so miles from him driving around neighborhood. Also Stated the 48,265 miles on speedo were accurate from new. Cable is broke and I cant verify authenticity of mileage . All that said truck Runs ,Drives Steers and Stops Extremely Well, Solid Not a rattler .. Power front disc with adjustable proportioning valve work perfectly . Front end was rebuilt 100 % Steers /Stops Straight. Transmission is a T5 5 speed that's a perfect fit for the inline 6 cylinder that runs Excellent as well . Doesn't Leak a drop or smoke, Engine Runs cool. Never been Wrecked .Body and Bed are Very Very Straight .Has Rally wheels and tires as well as spare underneath are Very low mileage. Custom cab features Original bench seat , rubber mat , day night mirror ,Dual sun visors. Shoulder harness seat belts, Deluxe steering wheel Horn honks ,Doors and dash are un altered and perfectly straight. ,Dual sun visors, Windows roll up and down nicely . Glass original and ex condition, windshield has a lower wiper mark, Has California Rear view mirrors outside. Original bumpers front and rear, Original Aluminum grill in ex cond. Original owners manual and warranty book. Doors open/close easily. All lights inside and out work including Reverse and license plate, Blinker, Running lights ,, High beam indicator, Cigarette lighter ,Dome and Dash all work. Heater and Wipers work. Gages work, Wiring is Original through out and has never been buggered up. Outside has some 54 year old rust in places they all do but less than most , more than some . Floors and cab corners Solid. Doesn't have more than a cup of bondo so you see what your getting , nothing hidden... Had a camper shell for many years and bed is in remarkable condition..Wont find a straighter Bed . Has 1 small dent on outside low right on the flat part of the panel , can bee seen in pic . Transmission is a late model T5 and shifts very nice . Parking brake was adapted to work and looks factory. Drive at 65 down highway with two fingers. Stack of receipts for over $10,000 in mechanical work will go with truck for reference as to what was done . Truck came from TX panhandle and was owned by same family for 54 years...It has some rusty areas as shown in pics , and spots in the cab above the windshield .But hasn't had a bondo or fiberglass cover up. s So you see what your getting . Nothing to HIDE .....Excellent builder truck or drive from now on just like it is .Wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere... I get lots of compliments and thumbs up every time I drive .
