Hello and thanks for viewing our 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4x4 CLASSIC with the 4.0 Inline 6 clynder engine. We purchased this vehicle from a Family friend who used it very lightly becuase he traveled a lot and spent most of his time in other places then where the jeep was and it sat in his garage until he returned to the area and always serviced it and changed the oil when he did. It's a true babied jeep and has been stored indoors year round most of its life so the Jeep is rust free. There is absolutely no black spray paint or messy undercoating sprayed on the bottom in a attempt to hide or cover anything, what you see under thetre is what you get, the jeep is rock solid. This thing was his baby so that means it was super maintained and all fluids and scheduled maintenances were preformed on time. No expense was spared on the upkeep of this rig. The engine fires right over with a quick half turn of the key and the engine idles smooth and sound free. The transmission shifts 100% right on the mark through all its gears with zero banging or slipping. The truck does not get hot even after running parked for over an hour. There are no leaks of any sort and the engine doesn't burn any oil. All the interior gadgets work 100% as they should and are 100% except for the KN Cold Air Intake and the Flowmaster Exhaust wich both add to the value. There is no cracked glass. The paint shines like new there is absolutely zero rust or damage on the body. Since it was stored indoors , the real beauty lies underneath where there is nothing not even any surface rust on the frame rails. This truck is 99.9 rust free. Other then some surface rust on the driveshaft there is not one spot that needs any attention we could find anywhere underneath even after putting it on our lift and doing a thorough inspection. Mechanically this truck is also a real winner, these 4.0s have been documented to go over 1 million miles and with the 130k miles this truck is barely broken in. In my 17 years hands on in the auto industry, mileage IS NOT the most important thing on a used car anyway. The Single most important thing about any preowned vehicle is the previous owner and how well they have taken care of the vehicle. Ive seen vehicles with barely 70k miles on them that havent had a oil change since they ran out of factory warranty and were beat to all heck. Then ive also seen vehicle with well over 200k that ran absolutely perfect and that because they were amazingly well taken care of. Some people now aday's dont even change thier oil at all. So with this truck, you have the best of both worlds, Low Miles and a fanatic previous owner that took care of it like it was his baby. Car and driver magazine rated the 4.0 inline 6 as one of the TOP 3 engines of all time "that refuse to die" Our mechanic couldnt find one other issue with this baby other then an allignment wich has already been taken care of. The original factory undercoating is still intact, plain and simple, there is nothing to hide here! All four tires have plenty of tread life left and are not dry rotted. They look almost new to me. The brakes work great and don't grind or squeak. Also this truck was never used to plow snow so the front end is still in great shape. The rear suspension sits just as high as day 1 .This truck was very lightly used all the way around. The engine bay is really clean and i do not powerwash any of my vehicles engines , I think it does more harm then it's worth , so the clean engine you see is exactly how I got it. All fluids have been checked and or changed. Also another great thing about this truck is that it's 100% stock, and even has the rare overhead console! It's ready for you to customize to your own liking's or enjoy it the way it is. Zero Major accidents or damage, No salvage history and a clean and clear Title. To some it all up this truck is pretty much mechanically and cosmetically perfect. These trucks are getting harder and harder to find with each day that passes. Throw in the low mileage and zero rust and we're talking almost impossible. There are no odors in the truck because our buddy did not smoke and had no pets in the vehicle. This truly is an amazing rig. It flies straight down the road and it doesn't drift when you let go of the wheel. Even though this is one of the cleanest and nicest trucks I've had in awhile, it is still 20 years old and does have a tiny amount of use and wear, don't expect a brand new truck and we won't have any problems... I said it before and I'll say it again, this truck is absolutely amazing and it's next owner will definitely not be disappointed. If your going to buy it now or make an offer, please have the funds pre secured.. I have been buying and selling for over 10 years on eBay and have been able to maintain 100% feedback the whole time. I do my best to honestly describe each vehicle. Over the years I have found that a few simple rules and policies can save my self from wasting time with fake buyers who bid for entertainment purposes only.
