Vehicle Detail

You are looking at my 1969 Triumph TR6R. Many regard the 1969 & 1970 650 models the best of the 650 run before BSA got thier hands in the mix and started the Oil In Frame models. I've had this bike for about 12 years, only riding it on nice weekends. I just don't have any time to ride it any more, and have too many bikes. In 2014 I went through the entire bike, it was getting noisy and one of the valve guides was loose in the head, so the head was sent out to Franz & Grub for new guides, valves and springs. They were recently featured in Classic Bike magazine. The forks got new T150 springs, seals, boots (USA made) and tapered steering head bearing set. The speedo was just repaired and got new bezel, glass, reset knob and bushings. The tach was done about 5 years ago. Both work smooth. A new Podtronics rectifier/regulator was installed recently. The bike has a 21 tooth gearbox sprocket, so cruises really nice at 50-60 mph. This is a numbers matching bike, the frame was powder coated when I got it and it is thick, so it's hard to make out the numbers. This is not a concours bike but it shows very nice with fresh paint and hand pinstriped gold lines. The chrome is all pretty good with no rust. Most of the hardware is original and has been plated with Caswell Copy-Cad system. The bike runs great, there wont be any bad suprises. You can just get on it and go. There is a quick disconnect polarized plug for the battery. There is also a switched relay to supply full 12.8 volts to the Boyer Ignition. You get a much better spark. The way Triumph does it you get around 10 and a half volts.
