Vehicle Detail
2001 Miata 1.8L MX-5 I have owned this car for 13 years and have really enjoyed it but am getting too old to climb in and out. It has a “Rebuilt Salvage” Title and I have a copy of the salvage recertification paperwork. Vehicle had 21,000 miles on it when I purchased in May 2005, and now has just under 47,000 actual miles. The body is solid and rust free, I kept it in a garage during winter for the years I owned it. Mechanically it is in great running condition, and has always been reliable. There are no issues with Engine, (1.8L) Trans, (5 Speed Manual) Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Exhaust or Tires. Items needing attention: Air conditioner high pressure line sprung a leak while I was sitting at a stop light a few years ago, and has not been repaired; Speed Control does not work; Top is fair, with just one small pinhole leak, but is beginning to show its age; paint near upper part of right rear fender is flaking a bit, looks like it could potentially be rubbed out; small dent in front right fender; Driver’s seat has small tear in vinyl on side and there is some stitching loose near center of seat. This is a fun, sporty, yet economical little convertible. No Reserve! I have bought another car and need the garage/driveway space. Located in Grand Blanc Michigan, local pickup only or buyer arranges transportation. Available to test drive. On May-07-18 at 15:32:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional items that may need attention, depending on how much you want to invest in appearance: Chrome on wheels is beginning to peel off in a few spots; Trunk area is missing trim to cover spare tire; the cover for top when it is down is missing. In answer to a question received about insurance, the topic never came up with my insurance company. The rates were similar to another older vehicle I owned and on which I carried PL/PD only.
