Smooth and Clean Smooth and clean is this 1964 C10 Pickup. It is a real joy to drive and gets thumbs up all day long. If you're searching for a "daily driver" C10, one that runs terrific, super clean, looks respectable - this may be the one! Originally, I hoped to drop in a loud and nasty V8, but after servicing the truck to a tune up, greasing everything, a complete brake job, and new 235/75/15 tires, there was no way this smooth running 230 6 cylinder was coming out. The truck shifts effortlessly, brakes on a dime, steers straight down the road and actually rides like a dream with the lowered coil springs. No rattles, doors close nicely and the windows roll up and down with ease. The exhaust is super quiet and the engine runs smooth. No knocking or tapping, just smooth. No major oil leaks either! I purchased the truck from an elderly gentleman who owned it since 1967. To this day, this old Chevy pickup is very special to him. We will both be sad to see it go. Although just an amateur painter, I restored this truck to my liking. There are many new parts on the pickup, such as window rubber, door weatherstripping, window felts, carpet, gaskets, tires, upholstery, etc. The paint looks great from a distance, but far from perfect. There are several paint chips and areas where the paint was sanded thin when polished. As stated earlier, this pickup is a "Daily Driver". Please don't expect a perfect paint job. FYI- The color is a late model Toyota Tundra color, and people comment daily on how nice the color looks on it. The truck has spent it's entire life in Phoenix Arizona and has a very solid body. The lower rear portion of the front fenders have been replaced. The lights, and all but the fuel gauge, work. The gas tank and sending unit plus hoses are all new, I just haven't had time to search for the issue. Please contact me if you have any questions. I've had several people ask if this Pickup is a long or shortbed. It is a Shortbed. Also sorry I didn't include more under carriage pics, but not much to see there. The undercarriage is dusty, dirty, old grease here and there, but overall very straight, dry, no sign of accidents! This truck has been my daily driver for approximately a year and I can attest to it's dependability. I intended to add "big & little" tires for the meaner Hot Rod look, but as it stands, the truck gets soooo many nods, compliments and thumbs up, that I left it with white wall tires.
