Vehicle Detail

1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40VIN: FJ40139532Clear notarized Montana title in hand.- 1974 Straight 6 Engine, 2F (replaced in 2002, only 20,000 miles on it since then)- K743-38 carburetor in 2003 - SM420 Granny-low geared trail transmission (4 speed-With low geared transmission, top safe speed is roughly 45-55mph)- 1976 front end with front disc brakes- Lockers front and rear - Warn Hubs- Power steering conversion- Custom roll cage- Ambulance rear doors- Removable hard top/hard doors- Bikini top/soft doors- Original working Warn 5687 winch- Dunlop 35-12.50-R15 Mud Rover tires (maybe 40% tread left)- Comes with 2 boxes of extra misc parts, repair manuals, and over $6,000 in detailed receipts- Brand new Interstate 42 month battery and connectors )1-3-2018)- New Clutch slave cylinder 3-23-18Originally from California, owner moved to Idaho and used it little, mostly sat in his barn for 10 years. He customized it to be more of a trail-overland-backcountry-hunting rig. He did all the modifications and installed steel rock guards and reinforcements all along the door jamb and floor, and aluminum diamond plating over the floor and in the back cab. Body is roughly painted with black primer and has normal rust and wear and tear. Runs great, fun around town, and a beast in the snow/mud and on any forest road and 4x4 trail...and in my opinion, more fun and better investment than a side by side. Ready to roll now, or take it on as a full restore project. Clear notarized Montana title in hand.(Landcruiser, Land Cruiser, FJ40, Rock Crawler, 4x4 classic vintage Toyota, jeep,)On Apr-22-18 at 17:09:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Answers to a few questions..... 1. Hello, would you accept full payment via pay pal? - Yes, I would accept full payment via paypal if you cover the 3% fee. 2. Does it have a heater? Does it work? - Yes, the heater/defrost work well. I used it in Montana this winter with no problems. It also comes with the rear heater setup in the additional parts box. You just have to install if you want rear heat too. Also comes with a plugin block heater. Started up every time this winter, even in 10 below. 3. Lights all work? - Yes 4. If you were going to keep it, what maintenance or issue would you address. - Nothing really that I'm aware of, though the clutch seems like it could use a little adjustment. Also, not that important, but I would re-glue the cab ceiling liner as it is falling down in a few spots. Also, I would recommend a radiator flush, all fluids flush, full tuneup etc. I've only driven it about 100 miles since buying last spring. Let me know if you have any other questions or want to see any more detailed pics...thanks, CraigOn Apr-22-18 at 17:39:46 PDT, seller added the following information: 1. Ok, thank you for the info. I'm assuming the rear seat is long gone? - The rear seats are gone, due to the custom roll cage that is bolted on to the wheelwell/seat area. There is a unbolted rear seat from a Jeep that comes with it though. 2. Glass all good?- Glass is all good, no cracks or chips in any of it. 3. I noticed you put top speed at 50 mph, is this due to rpm/gear ratio or wandering/wobble? - A little bit of both. Starts to get a little "squirrely" on the asphalt around 50, and pushing rpms. Really it is set up to perform better on the dirt at lower speeds right now. 4. I'm high bidder and have bid up to $5k, I noticed that you dropped the reserve am I close?? - Not quite, but your getting closer. In fairness to all potential and current bidders I prefer not to reveal my reserve price. Please submit your best offer and if it meets the reserve price you will be notified by the auction that your now the highest bidder. Thanks and happy bidding! On Apr-22-18 at 18:23:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you, I appreciate your communication. 1. Drum brakes up front? - 1976 front end with front disc brakes 2. Are there any rust thru's? - Both rear wheel wells have rust throughs on the outside (see pics) - Also, its hard to tell how much, but it appears there were some rust throughs on the driver/passenger floor pans, and they were reenforced and covered with diamond treat aluminum. (see pics) I did remove the rear corner aluminum diamond tread, and there was no rust there.
