Vehicle Detail
One owner bike. Not ridden in probably 30 years. I cleaned and sealed gas tank with caswells. Cleaned carb. Bike starts first kick. Will sit and idle all day. I kid you not, everything on this bike is origonal except tires and fuel lines. I own and have owned MANY vintage bikes and for the year this bike is in the best origonal condition I have ever seen. Everything works as should except tach. Have not had time to look at that but I'm sure its the cable and i have one. Look at pics... also have origonal sales reciept and "Triumph dealer card" in same name as current title proving single owner history of bike. Nice to have........Reserve the right to end auction at any time as bike is gor sale locally. On Apr-15-18 at 04:55:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok- I have had several ?'s about the paint being original..... I bought this bike about 3 weeks ago from an older gentleman who has been in a wheel chair the last 3/4 years and had failing health for many years before that. He is in fact the original owner. The gas tank had gas in it that was so old it was way beyond turpentine. Tank was filthy with rust build up(but cleaned out pretty well). The petcocks where completely plugged and had to be taken apart. So my point is, the tank had not been off this bike in many many years. The odometer works, so the mileage is correct at 4500 & change. So the bike was used very little, many many years ago. The first thing I asked the owner was "has this bike been painted". He said no. He had it in for service 1 time for tires and tune. So the paint being very nice is not out of the ?. The pin stripping has mild imperfections in band width etc... Which is what you want to see as these where hand painted. At least the older Triumphs where hand painted. I don't generally get bikes this new, which is why I'm selling it. Either way it's in great shape. Took it out this morning and it's a runner.....
