Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my beautiful 1967 Camaro. It has been family owned for the last 17+ years, but it’s time to move onto another project. Whoever wins is getting an amazing turn-key muscle car with tons of time and money invested. No reserve, so bid to win! Details are as follows. ENGINE:The engine is a real LS2 that was removed from a 2005 GTO. It’s an all aluminum 6.0 liter with 400HP and 400TQ. It started off as a low mile take out which was stripped down to the shortblock for a freshen up. This included all new gaskets, LS7 lifters, pushrods, and a fresh coat of Chevy Orange paint. It runs beautifully, and doesn't skip a beat. Car is also equipped with a set of ceramic coated Dynatech longtube headers, and was professionally tuned for optimal performance. Use of 93 octane fuel is highly recommended. TRANSMISSION:The transmission is a TH350 Super Street-Figher by TCI. It was purchased new and only has around 8K miles on it. The valve body is an auto/manual, meaning you can either put it in drive and cruise like your typical automatic trans, or take full control and ratchet through the gears with the Hurst shifter. Stall converter is also made by TCI and is a 3200rpm. It has great street manners. REAR AXLE:Rear axle is a Currie 9 inch with a 4.11 gear ratio. It was installed at the same time as the transmission, so also has about 8k miles on it. The 4.11s are great for acceleration, but not so much for highway cruising. I mainly stuck to backroads which were a blast, but if you wanted to drive this car on the freeway more I would suggest swapping the gears to a 3.55 or lower. BRAKES-SUSPENSION-WHEELS:The front brakes were updated with a power disc setup from SSBC. All suspension bushings have been gone through and replaced. The front of the car is lowered on Hotchkis springs while the back is sitting on stock replacement leafs. Other mods include a Hotchkis front sway bar, subframe connectors, Comp Engineering traction bars, and Rancho adjustable gas shocks. Wheels are Billet Specialties street lites. 17x8 fronts with a 245/45 Mickey Thompson Street Comp, and a 15x10 rear with a 295/55 Mickey Thompson ET street S/S drag radial. Tires are basically new. FUEL SYSTEM:The fuel system is completely custom starting off with a 15 gallon trunk mounted cell from Aeromotive. Fuel is supplied by a 340lph in tank stealth pump. High pressure fuel lines are run front to back...-8AN feed and -8AN return. In the engine bay there's an Aeromotive bypass style fuel pressure regulator as well as a set of Holley high volume fuel rails. THINGS TO NOTE:The car has manual steering, so be prepared to use a little muscle when making tight turns. It does not have any heat or air conditioning as it was a fair weather only car. These things can be easily added if you desire. Also, it does not currently have a wiper motor because the original one did not fit with the LS engine. Several companies make ones that will work, but again since I never drove the car in the rain I didn't bother. The wiper transmission, arms, and blades are all still there so it literally just needs a new motor if you would like functioning windshield wipers. INTERIOR:The interior has been redone to mostly original with the exception of a column mounted tachometer and Hurst ratchet shifter. Headliner is also a one piece microsuede from TMI. Looks sharp, and adds a little more head room over the factory style. Chassis harness has been replaced with a Painless unit as well, so all of the wiring is new. Everything works as it should. Headlights are aftermarket Delta Xenon and have a crisp white hue at night time...worlds better than factory! OVERALL:Overall the car is very clean inside and out, and draws a crowd everywhere. It's a turn key and go LS powered muscle car, and is an absolute blast to drive! Paint and body was done over 15 years ago. Although it didn't get driven much in that time, it still has some minor flaws that I captured pictures of. There were a few small hairline cracks on the bottom of the rear fender flairs that have been repaired. There is also one hairline crack in the paint on the passenger quarter panel as well. Lastly, there are a few small bubbles forming on the driver side rocker panel behind the door. These are all minor things that are hardly noticeable , but I just want to be as honest as possible. Otherwise, it's straight and clean. The paint is beautiful, and I'm constantly being asked if it was just painted. This is not one of those cars that only looks great in pictures. When seen in person, you won’t be disappointed. The color is one of a kind. WALK AROUND VIDEO!Here's a link to a walk around video I just took so you can see/hear the car. Copy and paste into your browser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6Oc5_f4_TA Any other questions feel free to ask. All sales are final. Must be paid in full within 7 days of auction end with either a cashiers check or cash in person. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping arrangements. Car is listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction for local sale. ALSO NOTE: Connecticut is a ‘no title’ state, meaning they do not issue titles on vehicles over 20 years old. Therefore, the car will be sold with a bill of sale and copy of the current vehicle registration. If buyer is not from CT, this paperwork is all you’ll need to obtain a title through your state after the sale.
