1995 Mercedes S500 coupe Smoke silver with dark cream and wood interior. 126K miles. I bought this car because the ebay seller stated that the potential larger issues had all been addressed: - The car runs and drives without any issues. - The air-conditioning works and holds pressure - Both the wiring loom and electronic throttle actuator had been replaced, known issues with these models. After purchase, I serviced, cleaned it thoroughly and did a few minor fixes. The car then ran nicely for some months but developed a hesitation and rough idle. It has been parked up for a few months - my wife hates it and I bought a new car. Since them it has been started every few weeks and driven 20 yards forward and reverse. Known issues: Rough idle and hesitation Crack at base of windscreen Dent in rear trunk Rust patch, golf ball sized, on left front wing. Headlight wash-wipes removed. Perhaps stupidly, I removed as thought they looked stupid. The parts are stored in a box, Jack and some of the Mercedes branded tools missing. First aid kit missing Drivers handbooks missing Drivers seatbelt butler has a crack in the trim. Seatbelt butler does work. Drivers seatbelt sometimes retracts lazily. Kerb rash on the AMG 'monoblock' 5 spoke wheels. Door locks do not respond to remote blipper Included with sale: Spare Becker head-unit, including original Mercedes Becker box CD-rom covering the full service manuals A toy model of the car. Quite rare, had to be shipped from Germany! $900 of spares parts, most bought new directly from Mercedes Cary. Including transmission fluids + filter, thermostats etc Brand new Mercedes supplied spare key. Underneath the issues, there is a good car. But it needs sometime with the time and know-how to love it. Low price reflects need to get rid, I am returning to UK. Am interested in swaps for something interesting and much smaller: watches, Wheel Horse lawn-movers, bikes, hi-fi, phones, computers...what have you? Thanks for reading.
