Vehicle Detail

Survivor. 2,900 Miles. Original Paint. Original tires. Unrestored. Clear Texas title. A beautiful example of an original unmolested Maxim Brown Metallic CB750 K3. Many references upon request as to the bikes and muscle cars I have sold over the past years. I have had bikes go to Japan, New Zealand, UK, Netherlands and Brazil. I collect these bikes and all that I see leads me to believe that indeed the mileage is completely original, otherwise, I would not have bought the bike. The owner believed in the chain oiler on max and oiled all levers, joints etc. just like the manual said. When he stored it, it sat for many years coated in oil, Vaseline etc. When the oil/crud was carefully removed, underneath was a beautiful original K3. Chain has never been adjusted. The original (45-year-old) Bridgestone Super Speed 21F2 (rib) and 21R2 (block) tires are there. Bike had the factory D8ES-L plugs. The gas tank has no dents. The original paint is still deep and shiny with no fading. The paint has some surface chipping below the decals. The side covers are original. No cracks. No missing tabs. All emblems are perfect. Still has the selling dealer’s sticker, Felmeys Sport Shop, on the rear fender. The original seat is soft, supple – no seams gone. The K3 seat was a one year only seat pattern with one main seam down the middle. All of the items for the serious SOHC 4 folks are here – the original Hm mirrors, the foot peg rubbers with the Hm logo, the original brake shoes with the Hm logo. The DID non-literature rims. The original “Koito” headlight does not have any darkening on the reflector. The DOT 3 master cylinder cap. The original turn signal and tail light lenses (minimal language – only have the SAE 67 wording) I installed a new set of NOS HM341 pipes installed. These are the original non-SAE literature pipes. If you know these bikes, you know how much the pipes are alone. (The originals were rotted at the ends as the bike had the baffles-in during its brief life on the road before storage. I did save the original #4 pipe and it will be included. The frame is original paint and there are some scratches on the frame from a crash bar, fairing and backrest. Everything works as it should. Turn signal beeper. Running lights. Electric starter. Horn. Clutch interlock. I think the pictures will do most of the talking, but I can add the following: - Idles smooth and quiet at 950 RPM. - Never had any thrown chain or case damage. - Again, due to the low mileage, there is no clutch basket rattle that I can detect. - The Yuasa gel battery is new. - The carbs have been overhauled - all new Honda gaskets, seals. Perfectly synchronized as per the Honda manual and gauges. - The coils, plug wires and caps are brand new Honda. I have the originals as well. - Toolkit included – all there and mint with the original black padded bag and red plastic handle. - Tank has never been coated or lined. It has some light surface rust in some spots. - I installed NOS front brake caliper, hoses, joint and master cylinder so that I could use the DOT-5 (if it ever leaks, it will not damage the paint.) Any questions, please free to ask. Reserve is set accordingly for a motorcycle of this type. The motorcycle is available for inspection in Spring Texas. Please arrange to inspect before the last day of the auction. Once reserve is met, auction will not end early even if someone local wants to buy it. Buyer picks up or arranges shipping. I prefer pick up so the buyer can inspect it. Buyer pays for shipping. I will work with your shipper if that's the way you need to go but I will not arrange the shipping. 1) A $500 deposit via PayPal due within 48 hours of auction close. 2) Balance of full payment is to be made by certified check, bank to bank wire transfer or cash in person in U.S. funds within 7 days of the auction's close. Detailed payment instructions will be given upon the end of the auction. A bill of sale will be provided to the winning bidder indicating that ownership will be signed-off and motorcycle shipped (if applicable) once my bank confirms funds cleared in my account. This protects both of us. Please remember that motorcycle does not get shipped until I am in possession of the cash, or bank confirmed cleared certified or cashiers check payment. 3) Please ask any and all questions that you may have prior to bidding. Since this is a used vehicle, it is being sold AS IS with no warranty expressed, written or implied. So please ensure you are serious if you intend to bid. That is about it – thanks and happy bidding!!!! On Mar-26-18 at 20:27:54 PDT, seller added the following information: ***Bidders with less than 10 feedback will need to contact me. Sorry, but I have seen too many other good auctions ruined deliberately. Your bid will be cancelled if you do not contact me. To answer some of the questions that are not mentioned in the add above: - To ride it any distance at all, you will need to tighten the drive chain (it has never been adjusted and it is loose) and replace the tires and tubes (45 yr old tires are not safe.)- The chrome is all original. Very good to excellent. No rust, but some very minor thinning in some spots as is typical.- The original mirrors are included (just not pictured on bike)- The tank decals and paint is 100% original. No dents. No rust. As mentioned, there are small spots in the paint below the decals. - I do have the old original Triple A luggage rack if you want it. Not sure where the crash bar ended up after I took it off. The windjammer fairing was sold long ago.On Mar-27-18 at 15:35:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry if I don't get back to all of you, but here is a couple of replies that cover common questions: - I don't restore, but, I do replace hopeless parts (like the #1,2 and 3 pipes that were rotted) and I do believe in replacing anything motor/electrical/fuel wise to ensure they run perfect (all OEM Honda of course) The bikes sit on trickle chargers. But when I put gas in them and hit the starter, I expect them to start and idle instantly like they did 40+ yrs ago.- I replaced the intake manifold rubbers and the air-box to carb inlet rubbers with OEM Honda. (goes to the above answer too)
