Up for auction is a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer LS SUV. This vehicle was seized after an arrest by the Clarendon Hills Police Department in July 2017. The vehicle was being driven at the time of arrest and has been parked at our impound lot ever since. The vehicle was jumpstarted today and driven briefly. The engine runs smooth and feels strong. The transmission seems to shift as it should. The suspension seems loose and the brakes are stiff but do work. The exterior of the vehicle is in decent overall condition as seen in the photos. There are the usual dents and dings associated with a car this age. There are also some areas of rust, specifically at the bottom of the doors and along the rockers panels. The tan cloth interior is in good condition for its age with no rips, tears or major staining. The power locks, windows, doors, mirrors and driver seat all work. The aftermarket radio works. A/C and heat both function. The digital outside temp gauge and compass work. The tires will need to be replaced sooner than later. Other than the brief test drive, we have no personal knowledge of what kind of mechanical condition this vehicle is in. We have no personal knowledge of any accident or maintenance history. This vehicle was legally awarded through court proceedings to the Clarendon Hills Police Department and has a CLEAR title in our name. That being said, this is a USED vehicle and does NOT come with ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER. Anyone interested in bidding on this vehicle is STRONGLY encouraged to view it IN PERSON prior to bidding. A non-refundable $200.00 USC deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of auction end. The remaining purchase balance is due in CASH at time of pickup.
