This auction is for a 1949 Chrysler Royal with the original Spitfire flathead engine and 3 speed transmission. The car starts easy, runs great, and the "3 on the tree" transmission shifts smoothly. It has brand new interior to include front and back seats, headliner, dash and door panels. Tires are at least 75%. All the doors and windows open and roll down nicely. As far as I can tell this car is 100% original to include the 6V battery. I even have the original owners manual and shop manual. The car can be a daily driver or weekend cruiser as is. Some of the negatives: There is some rust under the driver, passenger and trunk floor pans. The steering wheel needs to be replaced or recovered. Everything is good on it except for the actual wheel cover. Lastly, I took it for a drive today and when i got home I noticed a pin hole sized leak in the upper part of the radiator. It can still be driven for any reasonable distance, but this is the only thing that needs to be fixed. Please ask me any questions you may have.
