Up for auction is a 2001 Honda Accord Coupe. This vehicle was seized after an arrest by the Clarendon Hills Police Department in October 2015. The vehicle was being driven at the time of arrest and has been parked at our impound lot ever since. Yesterday, the vehicle was jumpstarted and driven briefly. It runs and drives however the automatic transmission shifts hard and likely needs to be serviced, as do the brakes. The engine runs strong but surges sometimes while in park or neutral. The exterior of the vehicle is in overall beater condition as seen in the photos. The windshield is cracked in several places and needs to be replaced. The gray cloth interior is in fairly good condition. The passenger seat tilts but does not slide forward or backward. The passenger side power window does not go down. The radio works. Otherwise, we have no personal knowledge of what kind of mechanical condition this vehicle is in. We have no personal knowledge of any accident or maintenance history. This vehicle was legally awarded through court proceedings to the Clarendon Hills Police Department and has a CLEAR title in our name. That being said, this is a USED vehicle and does NOT come with ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER. Anyone interested in bidding on this vehicle is STRONGLY encouraged to view it IN PERSON prior to bidding. The winning bidder of this auction is responsible for vehicle pickup/shipping. The winning bidder MUST contact me within 24 hours of auction end either by phone or EBAY messaging to arrange pickup date. If no contact is made, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder or sell it otherwise. A $200.00 USC deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of auction end. The remaining purchase balance is due in CASH at time of pickup. PayPal will also be accepted, however the BUYER is responsible for ANY and ALL PayPal fees associated if not paying the balance in cash.
