Selling my beloved 1994 Z/28. I bought this car on a whim 15 years ago, mileage 76,432. Currently 102,xxx. I drove it a bit when I first purchased it, mostly highway miles to FL. I don't drive it much anymore, thus it's time to let it go. Zero miles last summer, a few hundred each summer save for 2013, 2x to FL and 1x to SC. Only driven when top is down, save for the trips. This has been one of the best cars I've ever owned. I'm a car guy, so it's been maintained well with GM parts when needed. Stored winters, Mobil 1 each spring, Premium fuel always. Opti-Spark, water pump, Dorman window motors, (2013) AC plugs, block drained and flushed, full brake job, serpentine belt. Other maintenance: axle bumpers, trans flush when acquired, trans mount, A/C work (needs a charge now), battery. Everything works as it should save for the CD player. Car gets an average of 18-22 mpg about town and up to 27 mpg on the road. It has a K&N filter and a 160 degree thermostat in it. Items previously installed before I bought it. I'm not sure about the exhaust. It sounds like no other. Pleasant and throaty on idle, ferocious when prompted. I've heard others, and they sound "boy racer" compared to the note on this car. Most aftermarket systems "burble". Like you can always tell a Muskrat with Flowmasters-they all sound alike. You don't even need to turn around. Chevrolet did great job with this car. You can listen to your music or converse with the top down, unlike convertibles of years past. I must admit when the 4th Generation came out, I never looked at them, but after owning this car, I'd say the model is greatly underrated and under appreciated. I believe they will be on the rise soon. I've been watching NADA and they are starting to move. A fantastic car for not a whole lot of cash. I know I'll pine for the car once it goes, as most of us do for our cars we had way back when. RED: only color to have it in. Clearcoat is weak. Car needs nothing else. Interior is exceptional, clean with no tears or wear showing on the cloth, carpet is nice. Original canvas top is in good condition, no issues. Power seat is a pleasure I might ad.
