THIS IS BEING SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER REGARDLESS OF PRICE. Rare Autostick 1969 VW Beetle. This is a very original unmolested classic Beetle with 77,000 miles. The car can't be driven safely as it, it needs to be restored. I bought this classic VW as part of package to get another car that I wanted for my collection, and this one has to go. We did some mechanical restoration to get this Bug running and driving. The semi automatic transmission operates nicely - I had the diaprahm and vacuum lines replaced and transmission tested, it has been road tested and shifts great. This is a clutch less standard shift semi automatic VW Bug. Compression is good, and no major engine work is needed. We replaced the fuel lines, rebuilt the carb, and gave it a tuneup, and the car runs good. The engine is the original 1.6 liter and has not been modified. The brakes have been tested and brake lines replaced, the brakes operate as they should. Car has a good solid body and paint. There is rust in the drivers side floor which would need to be addressed. Passenger floor shows some rust as well. The interior is in very good original condition. All the glass is in good shape, including the rear window with OEM defroster. Factory sunroof. Wipers work, speedo works. Fuel gauge does not work. Heater boxes show significant rust. Good starting point for a quick and inexpensive restoration.
