Vehicle Detail
1949 Dodge Pilothouse pickup truck. ENGINE: 1991 Chevrolet TBI 4.3 V6.TRANSMISSION: 1991 GM 700R4 (automatic with overdrive) REAR AXLE: GM Limited Slip (S-10) 3:42 gears CHASSIS: 1991 Chevrolet S-10. SUSPENSION: Stock 1991 S-10. WHEELS: Front 15X7 steel. Rear 15X8 steel. TIRES: Front 235/70s. Rear 255/70s. (less than 1,000 miles on them) This is a excellent running, driving, and stopping truck. Professionally built 2 years ago using a solid 1949 Dodge pickup and a very low mileage 1991 Xtra cab Chevrolet S-10. 79,000 miles on the S-10 at the time of the build. I put over 20,000 on it since built. It now has 101,000 miles on it. It runs, drives, and stops like a modern pickup. Cold air conditioning, hot heat, power disc brakes, power steering, tilt wheel, Pioneer AM/FM,/CD player (sounds good) electic wiper, new tinted glass, all new window rubber, new window felt, rebuilt window regulators, new door rubber, vintage over head fan, vintage visor, rough cut lumber bed floor and rails, custom full exhaust with stainless steel GUT muffler, fog lights, and more.Head lights, tail lights, brake lights, reverse light, turn signals, parking lights, dash lights, dome light, fog lights, fuel gauge, volt gauge, temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, wiper, AC, heat, inside door locks, door key lock, over head fan, and radio all work as they should. The truck runs around 190 degrees in summer traffic, 40 pounds of oil pressure hot, it doesn't use oil or leak any fluids. I've driven this truck on a lot of extended road trips. It will cruise 75+ mph no problem. It gets around 20 MPG. This is a old truck that can be driven daily, out of town, in the rain, in summer heat or in the dead of winter. Please ask if you need more info or pictures. Thanks.
