It still retains its original matching front and rear license plates. I purchased this car from a great honest seller. My original intention was to restore this car to its original state. Since it is a solid chassis I was going to put a stock 1.7 engine in it, restore the interior and repaint the car. However after seeing the quality of the V8 conversion I figured it may be best to find another early 1970 914 to restore. Exterior: This car was originally painted L80 from the factory which translates to Light Ivory. This car has been painted Signal Orange. The paint looks good from a distance, however when you get close you can poor prep. The paint itself looks very good; it is just there are some areas of overspray. I have taken pictures of these areas. This car shows no signs of any accidents, major collisions. This car is a sold chassis and there is only small rust hole the size of a coin in the battery box (I have also taken a picture of that). Interior: The interior of this car is stock and original. It comes with the original shift knob and boot(under the armrest). It has all of the gauges, dash, seats etc. There are several boxes of spares that come with this car such as fuel pumps, fog lights etc. Engine/Transmission: This car is fitted with a Corvette 283 “Camel Hump” V8. This engine starts right up and sounds great. It is a very strong healthy engine. It has an Edelbrock Carburetor, Headers, Electronic Ignition and custom exhaust. This car sounds great. Some work was done by the previous owner and he did an alternator, belts, radiator hoses, clutch cable etc. I had this car towed since the previous owner mentioned that this car should be inspected by a professional prior to a long drive. This car has the potential to be a blast to drive. This car makes great power. Suspension: This car is fitted with 911 front suspension and 914-6 rear suspension. It has red Koni’s and front and rear. This car has been sitting and I would recommend to freshen up the suspension prior to serious driving. The brakes do “hang up” a little, but may free up with daily driving. Overall: This is a great chance to get into a very fun Porsche 914. This car could use some minor tinkering to make it a great daily driver. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
