Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1988 Fiero GT with under 120K miles. Being sold as the basis for a kit car. The 1988 has the desirable improved suspension system and a 2.8 liter V6 with a five-speed transaxle. This car has the Beachwood interior with the rare Beachwood Performance Sound System overhead console (the sound system is disconnected) and the rare Beachwood lumbar support system (non-functional.) The car also has the rare gold factory laced wheels in good condition. The air conditioning system needs to be recharged, cruise control does not work, and the exhaust system is partially rusted out. The paint is shot and the windshield had a crack in it. The right window is very reluctant to go down or up, so I don't use it. The tail light lenses are delaminating. The car passed a California smog test a year ago, but the exhaust system has a hole in it, so it probably would not pass now. This car could serve as the platform for your kit car as there are plenty of aftermarket bodies made for the Fiero space frame. I have clear California title to this car, and it is currently registered and insured. I use it as my daily driver, putting about 4K miles a year on the car. I've owned it for 20 years and have replaced a number of parts over the years: headlight motors, headliner, console, dashboard, fuel injectors, water pump, vented rotors, clutch master and slave cylinders, and distributor, to name a few. Drive as is, or strip the body off and make yourself a Lamborghini, Ferrari, or Ford GT40 replica. Probably will not pass CA smog test because it needs an exhaust system.
