Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for viewing our 1999 Ford Econoline 350 15 passenger van. We specialize in buying and selling anything with a 7.3 Diesel Engine and particularly E series vans and older F series trucks. Let me start by saying this is absolutely the best van I've ever had the pleasure to offer for sale. We purchased this vehicle from a local municipality where it was used very lightly for inmate transport. It was used only 2-3 times per week to take the inmates from the jail to the courthouse wich was only 3 miles away. Not only was it very lightly used but it was always stored indoors since day 1. Becuase of its light use and unique situation, this van has only accumulated 32k miles. It was maintenanced regularly and all scheduled services were always performed on time. From my experience I have found that you can not find a better previous owner then a state or municipality becuase they basically have an unlimited checkbook and when issues appear on their vehicles , they get taken care of promptly. They are never run low on fuel becuase the drivers don't pay for gas. This particular vans unique history is a testament to its great condition. #1. It was used by police officers to transport inmates so there was no smoking allowed and no pets have ever entered the vehicle. This is why there are no foul odors or any messy spills. #2 It wasn't allowed to be "beat on" becuase there are rules that have to be followed when transporting people. Also due to the close proximity of the vehicles destinations it was never Allowed to travel at high or excessive speeds. #3 It always had to be kept neat becuase it was a symbol of the police department and was never used alone and no clutter was ever stored in it. In my opinion you have the best example of an older low mileage Econoline I have ever seen. Add that to the fact that this van is equipped with the legendary 7.3 engine. International 7.3 "Powerstroke" Turbo Diesel engines are unmatched for their reliability and durability. They have been documented to go over 1 million miles. 32k miles on a 7.3 is not even enough to consider it "Broken In" yet. Ford also added a intercooler to the engine in the 99 model year to increase horsepower and torque. The diesel fitted econolines also have a heavier duty transmission installed so the entire drivetrain is rock solid on this thing. All of the statements i have just made about the 7.3 are not my opinion. They are verifiable facts that can be checked with a quick google inquiry or by asking any good mechanic. Let me get back to this particular van. The engine fires right up with a quick half turn of the key. It does not blow any significant smoke out of the exhaust. The engine operates and idles exactly as it was made to, smooth and sound. The transmission goes smoothly thru its gears right on the mark and without any hesitation. The heat blows hot and the air blows cold. All interior options work 100% as they should. There is no cracked glass anywhere in the van. The headliner does not "sag" and there are no rips or stains in it. For a vehicle of its age , the seats are in almost perfect condition, there are no large rips or tears , the wear on the interior matches the mileage. There is and was no visable rust anywhere on the body. Since it was stored indoors and far away from the beach there is no rust on the body or anything on this truck. We did not apply any undercoating because we didnt want to give the image we were trying to hide anything. There is bare sheetmetal underneath so you can see exactly what it is your buying. The only defect the van HAD was scratches and marks in the paint from where the police badges and lettering were and before we could buy it , the township had to remove them. To solve this problem , we filled in any tiny scratches or dings and had the whole entire van painted in a brand new coat of FORD white and a double clear coat. So your getting an older extremely well kept van with a BRAND NEW paint job and boy does it look good. The tires on the van are all in very good shape and have plenty of life left in them. I can honestly say i have described this van to the best of my ability. Van has a fresh oil change and is 100% ready to go !! The fact that this vehicle has no rust and runs so good with such little miles means that this van will last years and years to come. This van with this engine will last longer and is a better investement then buying a brand new one. And of course it's no where near the price of a new one. If you really like this unit I suggest "Buying it now" These particular vans they never make it more then a few days and always sell quick. If your going to make an offer make a respectable one and I may accept it if the vehicle is still on after a few days. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me , my number is 732-762-8388 and my name is Joe. If your going to buy it now or make an offer , please Look at the vehicle BEFORE doing so, there is no such thing as buying it and then coming to "look" at it. There is nothing to hide with the truck but i say these things to avoid a lot of agrivation and wasted time with fake buyers. It takes time to secure these hard to find vehicles and even more time and money to get them ready for sale. Not to mention the fact eBay charges us to list. I don't say these things to turn away potential buyers , this is how I feed my family and I take it very seriously and have found over the years that a few simple guidelines save meA lot of grief. I have 10 years of 100% solid feedback and I stake my descriptions on that fact. Even though this van is almost perfect, please understand it is a "used" vehicle and there may be things that need to be changed. Im not talking about the engine or trans or even anything in particular, just stating it is used and anyone could "suggest" new this or new that, as far as wearable parts of the vehicle, i.e (brakes, shocks, rotors etc..) I am not stating that those things do need to be replaced , im just trying to help people better understand it is used and almost 20 years old. appointments can be made 7 days a week to see it . If your a out of state buyer , more pictures and videos of the vehicle running and a walk around video can be provided upon request. Again please , if you make an offer or buy it now , be prepared to follow thru with the deal. if you have no feedback your self , please message me prior to buying it or making any offers , Thanks again for viewing and have a great day. God bless you and your family. ****If you have a use for the van but do not have a use for the rear seats, i would be more inclined to give a better deal keeping the rear seats as i do sell a lot of these and can always use them. If you have a use they do come with the van at no additional charge but again you may save money if you do not need them****
