Vehicle Detail

With much hesitation and regret I am putting Deborah up for sale to good home. My first restoration project, really more of a learn-as-you go, it would be safe to assume you would need to cross-check everything i've done before deeming her road worthy...as well as the other things that are obviously still necessary to make her run / drive again. Starting out as a rot free body with a shocking lack of surface rust, she's a great candidate for a frame off total resto. However, her engine ran strong when i started taking her apart. There is some evidence of her blowing a rear seal as there is a 'burn' from hot oil under the passenger rug....the metal is discolored from the heat....not visible, but probably why eht engine was swapped out. The previous owner replace the rear springs and body bushings. Major work i completed: New rugNew wiring harness (entire vehicle, mostly made personally - some shorts would need to be worked out i'm sureNew fuel and brake lines..some pre-bent some custom bent....i would tweak some of these as they could be a bit more streamlinedNew pads / calipers / discs up front, new shoes and drums (1 possibly both) in back. New shocks all aroundNew bushings in front endGold dash insert refinishedHurst Ratchet shifter (new) PICTURES:Included pics of the numbers on engine block and rear axle...neither are original. Rear end has drums on them, engine is an older Pontiac 400....I only drove this car two or three times before i started taking her apart. She was test driven / started a few time..some mistakes found..put back on stands...the last she was running was about 1.5 years ago....when i last seriously did work on her..the engine still hand cranks, and i believe was bored out as when running it has more power than most TAs i drove....Originally I bought her as a vehicle to learn on, the intention being to get another down the road and do a pristine, frame off resto. Well, i fell in love with this one and learned she was indeed a real Bandit - not a copy...then my intention was to save a bit more. pull the engine and do it right....well, stuff happens and families stink...so i have to sell her.Anyone buying this ride should know i am in no way shape or form a pro-level mechanic. I had always intended to have her towed to my mechanic for a once over once i got her back on the road...you should do this too. Video a walk around can be seen here:TAwalk from Echo on Vimeo.password: deborah There's a lot of clutter and parts around her, but will package all that is applicable to this sale up and have it in the passenger compartment and trunk. I have keys for all and the chassis will be rolling for delivery. there is no radio, but i did replace the front dash speakers which i will leave in. The car is an AC car but there is no hardware under hood...the in-dash stuff seems to be there, but i had no way to test it. There are a couple of dings, but not real dents...the front plastic parts (nose and spoilers) look a bit tired, but from 20 feet she's sharp. The trunk and foot wells are rust free....the frame is solid and strong, but the underside needs a good cleaning...couple trips to the eye doc for an eye flush showed me i need to do that first next time. I am not at all happy having to sell this and starting the auction at what i owe on her to break even in that regard (Apologies had to adjust the starting cost as i forgot part of the payoff i need to make on the car to a family member - but, still a deal!)...all parts etc, that come delivered with vehicle i am losing my shirt on..but need to garage back and to move forward...the potential is here in this rot free f-body. This vehicle comes with no warranty and is sold as-is. All parts slated to go in this vehicle for this auction will be delivered with it. Any additional tools / parts / items seen in the video are not part of the auction - though, i will be selling them all in a separate sale...jacks, stands, compressor, tools, etc etc etc . if you're in the market, let me know...i'll give a good price if you want me to include them. no refunds. Deposit must be received 24 hours after auction ending, final arrangements for payment in full and pickup made within 72 hours of auction ending or deposit is forfeited. Buy it now buyers payment due immediately I have a perfect feedback record here and may toss any bids from new or un-reviewed bidders.Serious bids only.thank you.
