Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my 1966 Ford Mustang GT fastback that was originally owned by my uncle until he passed away where it was then passed on to my father. My father then passed it on to me recently. It is an old school show car from the 70s I believe. Here are all the features I know of:-It was painted maroon top to bottom, including the underbody and wheel wells. It also has purple ghost flames on the front end. Unfortunately, the paint is showing its age with some areas of severe spider cracking. -There is custom red pinstriping all throughout the whole car inside and out, including the underbody. -The body is completely rust free and solid. -It has a 60s vintage 302 V8 that requires lead additive to the fuel to lubricate the non-hardened valve seats in it (I am including 2 qts of additive with the car). -It has an automatic transmission. -It has a chrome rear end (that is in almost perfect condition), chrome oil pan, chrome mudflaps, and chrome traction bars (driver side bar has been painted over). The chrome on both bumpers are in great condition as well. -It has custom interior upholstery on all seats and behind the fold down rear seat. -The front seats are from a 70 mustang. -It comes with 14'' front and 15'' rear American Racing wheels. -It has an aftermarket Pioneer stereo system w/ speakers. -Only modern upgrade is the 600 cfm Edelbrock carbuerator (2010). -New starter (2012), battery (2015), and alternator. -All interior lighting, signals, and dash lighting work. -No mechanical issues with the car. It starts up the first time every time, even in sub-zero temperatures. Alignment is perfect on it. -Only issues are both back up lights don't work, which I believe is due to a bad back-up switch. The horn doesn't work (another bad switch). The dash clock also doesn't work. The car only sat in my father's garage except for a few days a year in the summer that he took it out. Even with the paint cracking, the car is a real eye catcher and sounds great. I apologize for all the pictures with leaves on the ground that reflect onto the paint that look like defects (only defects on the paint are the spider cracks and some chipping). Feel free to contact me for more pictures or questions. On Dec-04-17 at 18:31:36 PST, seller added the following information: I want to clarify that this mustang is not a factory GT as I recently learned after listing it from another ebay member that based on the VIN#, that it was originally a standard V6 fastback converted to a GT. I apologize to any members that were confused by this and hope this clarifies this issue for everyone. Please let me know any more questions you have. Thanks. On Dec-04-17 at 21:14:35 PST, seller added the following information: I want to mention that when I say the body is rust free, I am speaking about all panels inside, outside, and under the car that are accessible. I did not disassemble the interior to remove the carpet over the floorboards to look underneath for rust. I did inspect the floorboards underneath the car and see no signs of rust. I did remove the trunk carpeting to confirm no rust in the trunk.
