Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a very rare 1983 Honda Magna V65 If you know anything about the Honda Magna V65 then you know the name alone speaks for itself. The brute power of the V65 rivaled against the muscle bikes of the 80's with ease. The large displacement of the V65 attracted a lot of attention in the 1/4 mile. Big named magazines of the time tested the bike. They claimed this brute missile would propel the quarter mile in just a little over 11 seconds. It was also claimed that they had roughly 116 horsepower, and a top speed of a 140mph off the show room floor! Not only did the V65 have loads of power, it also had comfort and style. If you ever wanted to own one of these bad boys when you where younger and couldn't, here is your chance to relive the glory days of your youth! Will make a great winter project! Clear T*tle and keys Ready to register When I purchased the bike the front wheel was not installed (I have no clue why it was not on the bike) and it was missing the mirrors, fork brace, front axle, spacer, speedometer drive and caliper bolts. I had an axle, spacer, speedometer drive, and caliper bolts. The speedometer drive is not the correct one because the cable end has a different mounting set up. I have not started the bike or ridden it. The engine is not locked up and turns over with compression. The transmission shifts through all of the gears. The bike has been sitting for a few years so I am sure its going to need some minor work and a little elbow grease to clean it up. Even though the bike is not showroom perfect it looks good for its age. It does not have any road rash or major spots of rust. Cosmetically the bike does have a few issues like minor dings, scratches and scuff marks, but nothing too serious. I think most of it will buff out. The paint on the top part of the gas tank is cracking under the clear coat (it did not show up in the pictures). The tank does have some oxidation inside of it from sitting empty. You can run it as is because it is not full of flakey or scaley rust. The side covers are solid and do not have any cracks and mount securely to the frame. The left side cover has a broken mounting tab that snaps in to the gas tank. The right side cover has two broken mounting tabs: one is at the bottom of the side cover and the other is at the rear of it. The tail piece is in good shape with no cracks, paint shines nicely, and mounts securely to the frame. The seat looks to be in good shape and mounts securely to the frame. Seat cover does not have any rips or tears but it does appear to have some of the thread missing on the top part of the cover in a few areas, foam is nice and soft and not broken down. The seat pan is solid with no cracks. All of the electrical items look to be in good shape. The wiring harness does not look butchered, all of the connectors and blocks look to be in good shape. All of the lighting devices look to be in good shape. The lenses for turnsignals, headlight, and brake light are in good shape with no cracks, sun fade or fogging. The headlight bucket does not have any dents or dings and it is securely mounted to the front end. Turnsignal stems are not cracked or dry rotted and they are securely mounted. The taillight is in good shape and it is also securely mounted. The instrument cluster looks to be in good shape however, the cover that goes over the idiot lights has a small crack on the lower left side. Lenses for the speedo and tach do not have any major scratches, cracks, or sun fade. Face plates for the gauges do not have any cracking, and all of the letters and numbers are legible. The engine looks to be in good shape. It does not have any oil leaks that I see. Engine has no broken cooling fins, no road rash. The exhaust has Jardine slip on chrome mufflers. The complete exhaust looks to be in good shape. No unwanted holes, no major rust, no weak spots, and road rash. The front forks look to be in good shape. They are not bent, no road rash, and the upper fork tubes do not have any major rust. The frame and swingarm look to be in good shape. They do not look bent, no major dents or dings, factory powder coating looks good. The foot pegs look to be in good shape and they are not worn down. The rims are in good shape. They are not bent and they do not have any major dents or dings. Tires are in good shape. They have plenty of tread, no uneven ware, side walls do not have any cracking or dry rott. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer them to the best of my ability. If you would like any close up picture of the bike let me know and I can send them to you in a private message. I will not deliver the bike or meet anyone half way. If you choose to have a shipper pick up the bike you must make all the arrangements and I will help load the bike. Payment must be made in full with in 7 days of closing of auction or it will be relisted. If you pay with a bank check or a money order the bike will not leave my possession until it clears my bank. Thanks for looking
